@@3minutetours, Many of the houses outside of Épernay are not fancy, but have nice champagnes. A few of the smaller ones that I like are Michel Fagot, Louis Brochet, J-M Sélèque, Voirin Jumel, and Alfred Gratien. If you are more interested in a ‘fancy’ house, Lafond is a good choice. A good option for something more middle sized is Leclerc Briant (they have a bed and breakfast in Épernay town with a nice garden too in case you just want to taste the champagne and not do a full tour or want a good place to stay). Philipponnat is also a medium sized house that does a nice tour and offers a wide-ranging tasting. Of course, Jacques Selosse is probably the most sought after at the moment, but you will have to stay at their house and even then I’m told you are not guaranteed a tour. There are many good options.
