I liked the way Cheeky said people on advance levels of adulting shouldn't tell others at lower levels that what they face is nothing just because they've crossed them. And to answer Vignesh's follow up question, very much yes! A boy who has completed 10th Public exam should not tell a 7 year old - '2nd std syllabus laan enna da padikradhu kashta padra? Naan laan public eh mudichuten'. He should understand a 7 year old boy will struggle with his own load. I think we should all be kind to each other, not look down on lower levels of adulting. I always take advice from people on higher levels and offer help to people on lower ones in my circle- in all topics like financial planning, household management, workplace issues, relationship issues etc. That's how you don't break the kindness chain to make adulting easier at least for our small circle we know in our generation ❤
Based on this conversation, I personally feel Subha is more matured and able to handle adulting phase well whereas Vignesh is still learning on how to do it better. I was having the same breakdown last week. House was a mess. Mopping, cleaning elame pending rice la vandu vilundhuruchu adhe clean panitu irundha ena da vazhka nu irundhuchu. After we both sat together for sometimes and spoke our heart out. We're in growing phase. We can manage this. I was most scared abouth having kids bcoz I can't babysit my inlaws kids. My hubby comforted and gave some confidence that we'll get support from my mil or else we can manage and we are financially stable. Adulting has different stages and every stage is equally hard. As cheeky said with right partner and disciplined mindset I'd say (but sometimes we can have cheat days too) we can manage it. Love u bonda and abishtu for this wonderful podcast.

Hi Cheeky! Your definition of adulting and why millennials are the first gen to fuss about it is so right! We've so much to handle now! I'm a married woman with a full time job too. There's always more work in office, theres always more work at home. My adulting hack is- clearly demarcate time points during the day- Office work time, household work time and recreation time and stick to it. This hack has saved me so much!

In Adulting, parenting, have seen every difficulty. Recently realized that all those problems are nothing when compared to the task of changing the land ownership to our names which are in the name of grand grand grandpa and involves 8 other families.

First of all great discussion 👏. Good you guys discussed a lot of topics tat really made sense for me. Girls are tamed from young being responsible so tat reflects on their personality and physicality. Atleast future generations should share responsibilities btw boy and girl which would make a better society. Major disadvantage of adulting I feel is not listening to anyone being adamant. That can destroy one self. Sometimes embracing your inner child is a therapy to keep you sane.

Talk about good and bad aspects of all, why some countries follow some and hate others, is it working in that country. Instead of dismissing all of it, see why it's wrong, even gender roles is it good to dismiss all of it? espisially when some of it is about taking advantage of the biological/psychological difference between man and woman. Also about the new identiy/inclusive politics that's happening in usa, eu and right now in india, wether it is good to follow it or bad (again don't hang onto one side before looking at both side).
