If it's a matter of cost, don't be afraid of the 91-92 3fE. Everyone hates on them, but I pull hills doing 85 with 326k miles on mine. It makes beautiful compression in all cylenders, and I get about 13mpg with the k&n air filter. They aren't prone to loosing head gaskets like the 92.5s-97 1FZ-FE either. They don't come with stock e-lockers, but honestly I plan on ARB's anyway. Not to mention you can get into one for under 10k
Same here would love to take my 80 over to USA to do Rubicon, its done 3 big laps of our beautiful country and would love to spend a year or 2 travelling the USA and doing there tracks.
I’m from New Zealand… have always wanted to one day ship my 80 series their to drive the rubicon trail. Just wondering if you have any help for me. This maybe the most beautiful off roading trails I’ve seen.. thank you for these beautiful videos. Love your land-cruisers wow..

Always wondered about shipping costs and would it be cheaper to buy a 80 over there and mod it a bit or ship mine over knowing what mods and services have been done.
I have a 96 non triple locked. Did most of the baseline with Ironman 4×4 2 - 21/2 " lift. Love your channel with all of the 80's. Subbed. would love to see the walk around with mods on your trucks.
GREAT video guys!!! Love to see all the builds out on the trail together. My 3X🔒 80 has a little 3 inch Dobinsons ims lift. Was anyone out there on a 33 or 35 inch tire?

I want to make a trip down there in the spring, my 1991 80 setup the exact same lol 4 in lift 37s. If you're around maybe you could point me to some good trails! Nice video man!
@@pasaway_offroad So I sold my 85 4runner to get into the bigger axles and upgraded electronics of the fzj80. That being said are the 93-94 years better than the 95-97? I ask because of the bigger transmission but all I know is internet talk about how the 93 landcruiser is the best year. Thanks for the cool content.
Ohh maan that's one of my bucket list mods for my rig but most of us running 5.29 gearing's and 3.11 transfer-case... it's working so far and but i think can't complain and it's doing its job..
