I don’t see how the fight could be between a hero and a vilain, but more about two old friends who grew up together, who trained together, who fought in wars together like brothers in arms, but after many years, one decided to live with some people, and the other decided to go away, because there is so much to see in this big world. And then he discovered if he gets some powers, he could realise his dreams. And you know that more than me but we don’t exactly know what our friends, even the closest are thinking at 100%. What if this friend always wanted ressurect his dead family since he was a child, and need some dark power to get it. But this dark power is influenced by old dark spirits, and the more he allows the spirits to empower him, the more he loses his mind and no longer distinguishes right from wrong. The souls he receives aren’t even enough to achieve his goal, so he goes in search of more souls in the villages by slaughtering innocent people. The more he tastes, the more he loses himself, but a kindly feeling in his mind sees in his power a new goal. To abolish war in the world, to free his loved ones from death, to resurrect those he has loved and to live an ideal life. That this is indeed possible, but that it will take genocide to gain more power. As for his friend, his objective is simply to prevent his loved ones from dying. Even if this evil old friend promises to resurrect him, he cannot let him doing his purpose. So they both fight. One inspires the dream (the villain) while the other prefers to hide in human suffering (the hero). That's how I interpret this music. It's often the villains who think more about the fate of the world, taking on the role of the villain to create a peaceful world, while the hero will simply tell him that this is not the way to do it. But how can they know that this is not the right way to experience peace if even History has never experienced it ? The villain knows that history will repeat itself if the hero wins, so they persist in destroying the hero. It is often this character who prevents future generations from experiencing a new way of life. My English isn’t very good, I tried to do the best I could. Sounds like a song where the main character and villain Duke it out one last time. The stakes are high and if the mc wins then they go back to their old selves able to enjoy their friends and family but if the villain wins then everyone perishes.
