From all sides indeed, like my country, most of the germans were not nazis or did not like the rule, and were forced into war like most soldiers were. War is mans worst creation, it has ended millions of innocent lives, that is why we need to remember these moments so they don‘t happen ever again. Amen
Blanks are loud for sure, but not as loud as live rounds. Audio recordings of either may not always demonstrate the difference, but one can certainly tell in-person.
I find it interesting that this was the one that concerned you enough to comment on. The most extreme would be radio chatter over images of War of 1812 reenactments. Radio chatter. 1812. But apparently the word 'montage' has flown over your head. In this channel's case, it encompasses all eras and if I had more eras in the last 5 years, it would've included them too, because warfare is the same experience everywhere, that brush with death (or the actual encounter with it) that transcends time and technology. The voices of soldiers struggling in combat in Vietnam over the images echoing WW2, or Korea over WW1, or Chechen War over War of 1812, is far from inappropriate in the context of montage, just as the grass grows regardless over the human piles at Waterloo, Gettysburg, Ypres, Verdun, Stalingrad.
