You're too much of a pacifist! When I play, I'm always looking for opportunities to takedown the other racers. :) In fact, before I even knew that such a game existed, I was doing takedowns in Need for Speed II: Special Edition. I'd get pissed off at the other racers and intentionally slam them into the walls. Of course you didn't get any reward for doing this, other than the satisfaction of seeing the a-hole who caused you to crash, crashing themselves. :) One of the best ways to do it in the Burnout games is to come up behind them, then boost into their back end, off-center on the side away from the wall. In other words, if the wall is on the left, hit them to the right of center. This causes their car to turn in the opposite direction right into the wall.
