Had a fly guy bragging to me the other day that he hasn't killed a fish in 30 years! Feel really bad for him missing out on all those fish tacos. I let most go but every trip I kill and grill a couple of trout, because that's what lifes all about!
Exactly man. I only take what I need. I’m not going to take a bunch of trout all at once. I’d rather go back to the lake and catch one when I want to eat one.
Bruh this catch and cook was flat out epic! Gots to give ya mad props and smash the like on this one. I know it takes longer and more prep work to do these rustic cooks, but seriously what could be better than crispy trout and potatoes fried in a cast iron pan over an open flame? Straight up cowboy style I tells ya! Hats off to insane quality content man.
So are those some big breeders the state turned loose or is it just private water? Can’t imagine that many big, wild rainbows in one spot. The word would get out! Maybe if steelhead.
Awesome channel dude, I love tuning in whenever I can’t get out on the water. Matter of fact, I watched this a DAY before my trout fishing trip and always did well on powerbait or spinners but nothing for 3 HOURS… until I remembered I had a RAPALA, never tried one before and remembered you slaying them in this video, FIRST CAST, hooked into a 3 pound rainbow. Keep at it dude, might post a couple of my catches from now on. If you ever find yourself in Las Vegas, Willow Beach Colorado River is the SPOT.
I remember the one and only time a caught a 2lb rainbow, that was the only trout that ever pulled line on me. It ended up on my plate but that guy wasn’t going out without a fight
Hey brother! Great content as always! Those rainbows were tanks dude!!!! Also, you should try using avocado oil, it is more expensive but has a very high smoke rate + good flavor! Avocado oil has a 520 degree smoke point!!!
Sounds like you need to spend some time checking your equipment before you go. Old Line, didn't have the lures you needed. spend more time fishing, less commentary.
That was a great video your lucky you can catch lots of fish like that because if I’m lucky it’s to catch 5 fish ice fishing is hard it’s all I can do happy you can catch fish for your channel so I can watch can’t wait for more I probably should have used punctuation
Great commentary while you fish. Awesome when I see old friends doing this. Love the cookin part as well. I'm a bit pickier. Would use Crisco.... and definitely wouldn't cook a spud in fishy oil. Love your tack & tricks. See you out there some day.
Beautiful fish on the outside but it looks like walleye on the inside. Or like you say chicken. Or are all the bows that white where you are. Ive never seen a rainbow with meat that white. Maybe its geography or possibly water temperature. I live in Canada and the trout here have meat that is much more red colour to the meat. Usually the more colour to the fillets the more tasty the fish. At least thats what Ive found in our neck of the woods.
Looks like a chub that fish was eating ! I caught a huge rainbow with a huge chub still in its mouth before ! Crazy to think it was still hungry enough to attack my spinner bait !
I literally drank literally literal beers while literally waiting for you to literally catch a literal fish to literally clean and literally cook lol wow 😂
it was your day for sure, theres alway good and bad and this was your better thats for sure. his is one of the best videos for sure, i,ll keep watching thats for sure.
i'm Glad to! Out of all the reels from walmart i've used over the years, the shimano sienna is the absoloute best for the price without a doubt! Thanks for watching!
Having been skunked three times at Little Dell, and a fourth time at Deer Creek just today, I am eating my hat over those chonky rainbows. Wish I knew where you were at. Nevermind, it's probably central or southern Utah, so too far away from me. (hah!)
Watching this video and hearing you comment on how warm it was on that particular day really made me envious. It is currently twenty degrees in my corner of Maine with sleet and freezing rain falling from the sky. Spring and summer seem so far away.
