We (a US expat and my Ecuadorian GF) live in Guayaquil but spend a month or 2 each year living in Cuenca. El pan de yuca is better if you try it from Naturissimo, it is not supposed to be dry as the one you bought on the street, is very soft and cheesy. Also, if it is very dry is bc they're not fresh. Eat it with a yogurt, you will love it!

WOW!!!! I know what I am doing when I visit!!! Does this happen only one time a year? I would be trying absolutely everything! The foods you tried looked so delicious. The plantain and cheese, I bet that was a great combination. I am watching the video and my stomach is growling hahaha I would also be weak as heck and would be bringing home a couple of those goats for pets 🤣😂 What an absolute delight your day was! Your dinner, OMG!!!! That was food made for queens and kings! I am going to try that restaurant as well! Honestly the bill at the end, with the amount of foods you got, was a pretty decent price! I am in awe of your day! Magical 💖💖

Aww thanks a lot. It was such a delight to spend our day eating our way through Cuenca. And oh yea, the last restaurant was everything. I couldn't even walk after we finished eating.I was so full 😆😂 It was a lot of food, we felt like we got the value for our money. I'm glad you're taking note of these places for your trip to Cuenca. We loved our meal at Tiesto's when we were in Cuenca last month. It was our most fabulous meal in six weeks of eating out every day. I kept my eye out for you two as we wandered the city.

Hello! You guys are true artists in producing your videos. I love how you do not make it about yourselves like so many RU-vidrs. You make it about the expierence!You do this by not really talking and keeping to subcaptions. I happen to do the Keto lifestyle. From what I see, the food there is a Keto nightmare!😂😅 Just wondering the rate of diabetes in Ecuador. México now is #1. Keep up the great art, and wishing you your 1st 100k subscribers!

Awww Thank you so much😆 and oh, I think you can definitely do the keto lifestyle here as well. I know someone who shares that lifestyle and is thriving here. You would probably just need to avoid local Ecuadorian food. You know, I have also wondered about the rate of diabetes here as well because Ecuadorians really do love their sugar! I believe Tiestos opens in the evenings. After 4pm during the weekdays. We went on a weekday at 6pm. And you have to book a reservation because the place was packed when we went. best to reserve, to avoid disappointment 😂.
