The serving set next to the Pyrex bowls @ 3:20 looks like Bakelite. I can’t see closeup so 🤷♀️ but apparently if you’re not sure you heat it up by rubbing it. Apparently it smells like formaldehyde.
Yes, it’s worth it. May be spec drawing for the car company. Find a used masculine frame. Hot glue 1n emblem to frame to increase value. Lots car collectors out there. The materials used are not great but like done by an illustrator. Just a note from a visual artist.
Great vintage collections and daisy is so adorable and beautiful. Oh my. I sure enjoy my little 3 year old doggie boy. Love, he's a chug shih tzu. Blessings to you and your family watching from 🇨🇦❤🌞🕊
Dom. So many hats! Even picked one with an insect nest, yikes! But Dom you know what sells and how to clean things. Amazed at the removal of rust that you shared. Thanks for explaining how you come to your decisions to buy or not, and why. It is helpful 🙂 Thanks Dominin ❤️
I was hats on top shelf dishwasher if stained I use dish soap with soft brush before dishwasher. Dont go thru drying cycle take out a put over a bowl will shape and dry at same time.
Omg I just remembered this, I used to listen to that same Grease movie soundtrack on record. I was like 4, and remember dancing but had to ask my mom to get it working for me of course. 😂 this was in 90’s but I totally remember that record!
Full Disclosure: When I was in my early teens (in the 70s), I used to babysit for neighborhood kids, and after they were tucked in bed, I'd go downstairs and play with their Fisher Price Toys. They didn't have them when I was a little kid, and I just thought they were so clever. My favorite was the gas station one. I loved how it allowed the car to move through a whole process, from getting gas, servicing, a car wash, and a cool ramp for the cars to drive down when everything was done. It even had a crank-up elevator for the people! So, don't be embarrassed that you geeked over seeing them at the sale. I was just mad you didn't demonstrate all of them!
lol Deb. Yes they were such great toys. I used to have a fold up hot wheels set with a garage and gas station that I was fascinated with as a kid. Thanks for sharing!
If Lionel buy it. 😉 My Dad had a lot including a loader still with the wood on it, lots of working track n switches, accessory pieces like stopping light arms, crossing signals, one with smoke it poofed, one with sound, green land platform, trees, etc. Still works. Think Dad made the platform but all else original. So many pieces that fill an entire old black latch trunk. My son puts it out most every Christmas.
This estate sale was sooooo amazing!! Of course all the sexy posters and the butterfly bottle but loved hearing you relive your Sesame Street memories 🥹 didn’t big bird have a hard time saying Mr. Hooper’s name so he would say Mr. Looper? 🤣🤣 awwwwww 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Daisy and her kinfolk 😂
Thanks Esme! I don’t remember that part with Big Bird and Mr hooper but maybe that happened lol. Sometimes I watch some old Sesame Street clips on RU-vid just for kids. Daisy says hi!
I love shopping along with you and learning as you go.......Thanks for another interesting, informative video........Don't forget, bell rub for Daisy.........🥰
Another super great prime time treasure hunter production. I love. All of your details on how to clean things. Here is a little FYI. The musical House you bought that You said was knitted, it is called plastic canvas art. You can see how much work goes into those. I buy any of that anytime I see them.😊.
Glad you talked about the blow molds. Someone in my neighborhood put a vintage Halloween blow mold on the curb. It was Empire and one of the tall ones. And the light worked! Sold it within 2 days on FB Marketplace. I didn't catch this video last night but enjoying it with lunch today. And agree with you, you have to look through the schmutz to find good stuff.....
Yes, department 56 stuff sells very well and there’s definitely an uptick in train stuff around the winter holidays because people love to bring out their Train sets for Christmas.
What a fantastic sale. So much good stuff. The posters, the trains, the butterfly bottle, Fisher Price, frogs and more. Also enjoyed the rust removal demonstration. Great video!
Welcome Cathy! Just a fun little thing I do when I find an item I particularly like and welcome it to my inventory. Also for good luck. Many ppl love the double taps lol
Thanks for the shout-out! Those posters were awesome! Only thing you passed up I would have grabbed would have been a lot of those albums. They are a bread-and-butter item in my booths and several of the ones I saw are great sellers for me. Great video as always!
Missed the orange Tupperware container set ti.e stamp 1:01 and the toaster ,even though the toaster isn't vintage, it's a nice one that brand new retails around $89 so an easy $40 used, but overall , a great haul for sure !!
Did not miss either. Checked the Tupperware numbers on bottom and does not sell high enough. Toaster not worth it when factoring in the cost to ship with the bulk involved. I can’t explain why I pass every item up or the video will last hours long 😆
Great vid! The 80s poster! Kicking up some serious nostalgia for me now. Man, i miss the 80s. Really making me understand why some buyers willing to spend big $ on nostalgia things.
Loved the program Shitzu dogs are great - I have a brown one - looks like an Ewock from Star Wars Where is this breeder located ? - I’m interested in buying another
Sesame Street clubhouse my brother n I had The dollhouse close to it I had Funny to you the toys I grew up with Dang! Should have saved them but instead played with them ❤️
I have found dirt dobbers in cookbooks before! The denture cleaner cracks me up because my daughter told a patient to use the denture cleaner nightly but not in their mouth. The lady already has a lower partial and I'm sure she would never but kudos on explaining!
You know Dom, $5 to get $20 ain't that bad. That's 4 times what you spent, if my math is right. Think of it another way. It's calculates the same as $500 spent to get $2000 back. Not too bad a payday if you do that each week, or even twice a month! You gotta look at it in the 'bigger scheme' of things. 🙂
Get the nice car pic for $5. Don't be a cheapo, Dom 😂. You can always 'crop down' (cover the imperfections) of the edges with an inserted piece of construction paper. 🙂
Great vid as usual. Just wondering if you earmark your profits from reselling for something special like college fund, family vacations, home stuff etc? I use all my profits to buy graded key comics so that way I get something I like and don't feel like I'm spending (or 'wasting') my own money on them.
Good question. All of my reselling funds go directly into a business account that I use to pay business taxes on a quarterly basis. After I pay the taxes due in spring, I take half of the money and deposit it into my personal account and keep the other half in the business account. This has helped me pay off my student loans entirely and pay my daughter's college tuition.
I missed the premier! Loved the longer video though PT! Great finds with the Sesame Street and box of posters. Yes, I definitely drooled over the blow molds. 😂 Would’ve picked those up for myself and I also would’ve snagged the blue plastic birds for my house! The trains were cool too. My dad and I had a big model train setup when I was a kid.
I love every single one of your videos. They are fascinating, so much information. I would have passed on the linens too for sure. Love to you & Mrs. Prime Time and a big hug to Daisy. I loved her brothers, so sweet ❤️
There's some decent money in the risqué area of the paperbacks. Especially, if you lot them together. Btw, I get pretty decent money out of older Playboys, assuming before 1980 and a $1 or less for their cost. And, as with everything, it's always condition, condition, condition, 🙂
