EPIC Fastest Map Ever - ChamKyo (T) v gasvulture (P) on Styler - StarCraft - Brood War REMASTERED 

Fastest Map Ever but it's a 44min video with an epic tag? Oh boy

The spamming that ChamKyo was doing around the 35 minute mark was (I assume) him continuously typing the Korean word "나가" - which means "leave" or "get out" (as you correctly guessed) - in broken sequences. At around 35:57 when he got his SCVs stormed he said "굿" followed by "좋아." "굿" is the Korean adaptation of the English word "good" (they're also pronounced the same) and "좋아" is the Korean word for "good" or "I like it." He's basically being snobbish towards his opponent. At around 38:00 where GasVulture's drop attempt got thwarted by Wraiths and turrets ChamKyo sent "ㅋ" twice. The character "ㅋ" is kind of the laughing sound in Korean. Usually many are sent together, like "ㅋㅋㅋㅋ," and sending only one like "ㅋ" has a somewhat negative connotation as if they're purposefully mocking the other person.

Ahhh...those carriers tried to kill a command center but were not able to because Cham managed to lift another CC and cover the original one. Sweet

The corner spawn locations are so much better to have than the non-corners. You get a funnel that your opponent has to travel through rather than a wider opening that is easier to retreat from

Gasvulture should have totally tried to mind control an SCV, he had the space and the income to try it. That would have been sooo cool

Definitely entertaining. Felt like GasVulture was too strong to be beaten in battle yet too weak to win the war every time he tried to attack. Nice comeback by Cham, I loved his production transitions very smooth.

The protoss played as protoss for the first time it seems.

The conversation around 40:25 goes something like the following: GasVulture: Have Carriers been nerfed? (캐리어 -> Korean pronunciation for Carrier, 하향 -> looking downward (nerf in this context)) ChamKyoYook: Your face has been nerfed. (얼굴 -> face) GasVulture: I see you've become dumber. The word that ChamKyo says after the GG means "master" or "owner" in Korean. I'm not sure why he said that, it's super random and makes no sense.

At 11:34, you say only a few SCV's died to the storm, but if you watch the population, 23 of them died in that :p I don't know if casting during a battle allows for quick population glances, since I've never cast, but it might help catch that kind of thing! Either way, keep up the good work, love the channel!

Love these replays of normal people playing 1v1 on fastest, or any 2v2, 3v3. You know that. And you're getting waaaay better at observing the Minimap. In this one I think you didn't miss any "minimap" action, although you're still a couple seconds late, it's way more fun to watch now.

Fun fact: One stim does nothing to change a marine's lifespan against cannons, but does heaps to improve his ability to kill cannons.

He DID actually Mind controlled the SCV (you can see it at 35:53 at the upper-right part of the screen). If he was able to recall it though, this would be a completely different game

ChamKyoYook is the Romanization of the Korean word 참교육. The word "참" is often used as a prefix to indicate something "pure" or "true," and the word 교육 means "education" or "teaching." The word 참교육 (cham-gyo-yook) is often used in a rather fun context where you're going up against an opponent and you'll "teach them a good lesson" (i.e. you'll beat them good). Sometimes I usually go for Protoss, even in this match they had a better position in the map than the Terran, but boy I was glad the Terran won, the other guy play style was odd to say the least. Ggs

Promote Starcraftworld.net :P Chamkyo handled the drops and storms on his scv's and bio really well in the early and mid game. Some of the sloppy drops were Gasvulture trying to get the most out of Shuttles getting target fired(like dropping units on top of tanks so other tanks kill them) but if the drops get handled correctly by the T it becomes really difficult to get results with them. Gasvulture did almost everything as it should be done by the book, but Chamkyo answered correctly each time. Specifically his unit control sealed the deal. The one time Gasvulture flew his Carriers into Chamkyo's base he was aiming for the main command center, but chamkyo saw it coming and immediately lifted another command center over it to block Gasvulture from clicking on it. Had he not done that or been slower he would have most likely lost the command center. Also, there's a certain point where you have to keep sending and pumping otherwise the opponent gets leverage over you, and that can come at the cost of some unit control. That's why some units from both sides went completely wasted even though they're both top level fastest players.

I don't get one thing. What's stopping GasVulture from setting up another base when things have turned for him? He had like 20K in the bank so he would get another base up and running in a couple of minutes and the Terran wouldn't even notice.

Feels like ChamKyo is using MapHack. 2:46 if you start looking at the mini map of blue scv scouting, it looks very suspicious. Once red probe found blue, the scv decides to skip left middle. But why would he skip left middle? there is 33% chance of red being there... idk i could be overly skeptical. At 4:46 when blue marines attacked the cannons he saw red's robotic facility so he built turrets after retreat. Here at 6:46 is the reason why i think blue is hacking. keep an eye on the mini map for the reaver drop AND also look at blue's marine movement at the same time. At 6:50 there is no way for blue to realize the reaver drop timing, but blue pulls his marines back immediately. it doesnt make sense, how does he know when and where the drop will be coming without scans. At 6:56 is only when blue is able to see red's shuttle, but the marines is already there waiting. also ironic how you said "nice timing on the turrets btw" lol. Maybe the protoss is also map hacking, at 8:18 red pulled his zealots before dropship was in vision of the pylon. UNLESS the pylon has vision range that can see pass the wall. Again this is all speculation, only replay with player POV can tell. there might be more evidences in the videos but i stopped watching, red's drop attempts were too frustrating to watch.

From like 98 to 2006 or so i played sc1 only. Not even brood war. I was a sc1 fastest map god destroying everyone with my illy account G()LI)FINGER. Now that I think back on it, i was probably shit, and it was just that anyone ggood played brood war.

I thought he will just go for storm on one pile of his probes, then straight to mass carrier+arbiter. he lost he initiative just after 20:00 on the clock. btw watch the Peanut Buter Falcon movie.

I prefer not using workers to scout on fastest in 1v1. The minerals being directly next to CC makes losing a worker to scout more expensive to ur raw macro production. just scout with first units etc. unless ur cannon rushing or stuff lol

@Falcon Paladin stop applying normal BW strategy thinking to fastest map. You will regularly see players committing to bad trades or not bothering to micro very much because it's not so important - they can lose 12 dragoons but make 24 more in the next 2 mins!

why doesn't any protoss player use recall. gas vulture wasted so much on shitty shuttle drops. back in my day when i got to that point in the game id defend myself enough to build up something absurd and then recall it into the prime spot. it always worked. am i crazy? have times changed?

It's embarassing when Protoss loses when up 2:1 in minerals, gas, and supply for as long as they were because they stupidly throw units at a Terran turtle defense. Even worse when you lose to Goliaths + tanks because you don't know how, or don't want to rally ground units to send to a concentrated force and you keep streaming them. Also, that was some trash Carrier control. I'm fairly certain my Starcraft APM hovers around 80-100, maybe spikes to 150, and this guy just didn't play them well. Even the drops were not well executed as this fool doesn't know how to poke at base defenses. Look at the minimap at the end of the game and you'll notice the Terran player has open space at the bottom of their base. Why is that? Because that's where the drops were focused and missile turrents aren't enough to prevent them, but Marines and Goliath's moving into position below suddenly can make the play. Adjustment? Approach where ground units cannot even engage you. Btw, this is also how you should attack with Carriers. Don't let a cluster of Goliath's even form up to have to deal with unless they're all under disruption web or storms. Otherwise, force them to stupidly path and line up in and around buildings while air units can concentrate on them one at a time. Air attacks and drops should have come from the north and hugged the east wall of the map. And FFS, build some damn shield batteries for those Carriers up there too. The disruption web usage for this game was trash too. Disruption web works when it forces the would be shooters underneath the area to move closer than they want to (out of position), or move back out of range such that they aren't covering the area anymore. Best case scenario is when you drop web on units that can't even push back at all because it's smushed into their own base. I'd argue Disruption web is just as good as Dark Cloud for breaking frontline base defenses, but idiots like this guy don't know how to use it. Literally anytime I see an epic TvP, or even ZvP, 95% of the time its the Protoss having an early lead, playing with a 80IQ and then losing the game.
