My dad was in the Army He passed away at the age 33 never really got to know my dad so sweetie enjoy every moment with your dad loved watching you guys dance really good.
That was epic..you can see the lovely relationship they have..I was a tomboy..daddys girl..went everywhere with my dad..whatever he was doing..diy..decorating sawing wood I was there..my wonderful dad died when I was 19... I am now 63..the last song at my funeral will be dance with my father by Luther Vandross..because THAT is what I will be doing in heaven.. can't wait dad..you better get some practice in..✝️🙏💞
@@joanarthur312 I know how you feel Joan..people say time heals..I've not found that at all..I still cry on fathers day and mothers day..their birthdays..Christmas etc.. songs remind me of them..my parents were hard workers who did everything for us 3 girls.. my dad was in the DDay landings on Omaha beach and my mom worked in a munitions factory.. they both worked mom part time..we always had a full meal on the table..all homemade..puddings too..we always had a holiday..camping or a caravan. .soooo much love..money was tight but we didn't notice..I remember hearing my mom crying in bed after we lost my dad. That broke my heart so you see those lyrics in Luthers song mean a lot more too..I looked after mom for 7 yrs with alzheimer's disease.. broke my heart to see this once strong matriarch broken by this vile disease.. her death was a release..i know she would have hated what it did to her because she helped look after her nan with it and said to me many times if i get that Kim please end it for me..I was a nurse you see..no i didn't. .but i tried when my sister asked me as she was dying of ovarian cancer..got arrested too.. they didn't proceed with the case.. maybe I shouldn't have said anything..as obviously just did a no comment. . But at my age and with my health i don't give a 💩..🤣
@@pambotter355 Hi Pam.. yes I've arranged all the music and hymn that I want.. mainly because its hard enough when you lose a loved one but to then try and have to think what they would have liked music wise is hard..done it so many times. I'm the only one left now. They're all up there waiting for me. I have said to my niece why I want that song. I spoke to my nephew and said I'd picked this and why..he is 46.. he hadn't heard of the song.. he phoned me up later crying his eyes out as he had looked up the song on RU-vid and it upset him.. well I said thats not the point you're supposed to be happy for me that I'm back with them all. We were such a close family. Did everything together. Even holidays.. aunts and uncles. .cousins..sisters and hubbys and children. .it was so much fun. Christmas and new year. Always together. Which is great..until they aren't there and its lonely.. but pain is the price you pay for loving and i wouldn't have it any other way.. I am sorry I made you cry..but I'm going to blame that on Luther for writing and singing such a beautiful song.. my hymn is How great thou art..and the song I go inti church with is..days of our lives by Queen.. another one that might make you cry..give it a listen if you don't know it.. in the video you can see how ill Freddie is. . You can start the dance with one and then have one hand you off to the other. That way you get a chance to dance with both. Then, you could always incorporate something like these surprise dances if you wanted.
