In the summer of 2019, Miriam Lancewood and Tamar Valkenier went on an Epic Female Expedition. They survived more than two months in the alpine wilderness of New Zealand.
They climbed many high mountains, without following a trail or path. They crossed milky glacier rivers, without being able to see the bottom. They ate what they could hunt and gather. From deer brain to grasshoppers, from snowberries to dandelions.
They lived on the edge; forced to live in the moment,
because they stepped every day into the unknown and embraced insecurity.

Way to go ladies! I recognize that beautiful area, Mount Cook! There is an awsome museum there, my daughters and I did some hiking around that area, met some amazing people out there!

I love this! I'm going to go on big adventures like this in the future, so far I've only done small ones. Tomorrow I'm going out into the wilderness here in Sweden to sneak on animals and also to do some acrodance. Mountain climbing, jump on tufts across marchlands. I'm excited! :D You're inspiring. Thanks for the vid, hope to see you both some day :)

Heb je boek net uitgelezen. Wat het mij bracht is dat ik nu echt voelde mijn identiteit is niet afhankelijk van mijn baan of wat ik voor anderen doe. Uitstraling en het vertrouwen wat ik in de natuur voel is wie ik ben en kan ik soms meer mee betekenen. Erg fijn om te kunnen voelen, want ik zit al 3,5 jaar thuis te herstellen van een diepe fysieke burn-out. Dus ik moet de natuur vooral ervaren in mijn eigen omgeving hier.

Dit is zoo leuk en inspirerend om te zien!! Wat fijn dat jullie elkaar zo gevonden hebben. Ik hoop meer van zulke avonturen te kunnen volgen. Ik kan me alleen maar voorstellen hoe ontzettend mooi het daar moet zijn. :)
