The best video on food in Bologna. I now wonder if I should stay longer than 2 days in order to eat all the food. I’d say trying the aged parmigiana is top on my list. 😅Thank you.
My girlfriend and I have been back and forth to Italy and Sicily quite a few times this year and honestly it’s paradise. We are going to Bologna in December and your video has been so inspiring it brought me to tears. The food all looks exceptional! Obviously no matter where on is in Italy or Sicily the food is just divine. However Bologna is the food capital along with Parma of the whole of Italy. We’re only going for a few days, so we won’t be able to cram in everything you ate. Fortunately the plan is to move to Calabria so we’ll be able to get the train to Bologna whenever we have a hankering for some of that incredible looking tortellini or that cherry nougat thing…or the Banana shaped doughnut or the tasting tray of different pork meats and parmigiana reggiana…my mouth is watering like crazy. Thank you for taking us in your adventure
Nice!! Enjoyed the video. Heading to Bologna again in October. The Onions are only grown in Tropea, Calabria….we always buy some for my wife’s aunt when we visit.
So glad you enjoyed. Hope you have a wonderful time in Bologna in October. I was there around the same time and it was perfect. I will have to visit Tropea, Calabria next time. Thanks for the tip!
You have such a wonderful appetite for life with curiosity and excitement for everything you are tasting and discovering. Thank you for this wonderful food tour and review. Italy is a foodie’s Paradise and I can’t wait to visit it one day.😊
I think that it is a lovely idea to demonstrate to your viewers the range of culinary experiences that you have encountered. Certainly a real lasagne is worth waiting for! If you make your own fresh pasta, bechamel and ragù, you will know what I mean. I did struggle a couple of times in Bologna with a floral type of cooking oil..
non è la capitale gastronomica d'Italia. Se vai in Piemonte, in Liguria, nel Lazio, in Sicilia ed in tutte le altre regioni italiane troverai cibi diversi e altrettanto favolosi.
Omg I seriously need to watch your videos AFTER I’ve eaten😅😅😅 Because omg everything looked sooooooo good. And the way you describe everything I can totally envision all the flavors in what you’re eating. The different types of mozzarella and the cheeses…yum. I’m going to Italy this winter. I want to make it,god willing,to Bologna even for a day trip. Thank you for this wonderful video😊
"we're gonna walk up the hill, 4.5 km." The SECOND stop for food is after ONE BLOCK. That's when I subscribed. 😂 The 4.5km uphill will be stretched over 4 or 5 episodes then, I take it ?
@@what.tomorrow.brings the plan was to stay 1 night, passing through on my way to Slovenia. But the more food videos I watched the more nights I added. 5 is my limit. 😅
It would be really helpful if you could note the prices for things. Your energy and smiles are great, and it is wonderful that you include GMap pins for the locations you feature--that is a BIG PLUS! You feature a lot of the places I would point to, but I think a lot of viewers would gulp at the prices.
Hello Brigette!New subbie here as of today because I am starting to plan our Italy trip and Bologna will be our #1 place to see. I will watch it a second time and take notes because the first time I was so mesmerized by your reactions to the food! Thank you so much to both of you for this video!
Hi there! You made a great choice visiting Bologna. So very glad my video helped plan your trip. Wishing you a wonderful time in the city they call La Grassa!
Aged parmesan can be eaten by those that are lactose intollerant 24 + Id love to show you a Balsamic Vinegar tour and Romagna where Piadina gets better.
I am happy to finally see foreign traveler, who really take their time to appreciate everything about our culture, and not who travel only to get a stamp on their passport, and provide almost no information about the places they are visiting. Just one thing from my part, if I can, never ever eat food to go. Food is something sacred for us, almost like a ritual. We never eat while walking, the only exception is ice cream. When shops offer "to go", like the one where you bought the Lasagna and Mini tortellini, are not really to go. It is for "export". This is why they are sealed. You buy them and take home, to the office, wherever is a table and sit down, or stand up like in small places where they sell the Tagliata. Just a small tipp and information about our culture :)
@@shinomiya89 Just like someone from florence sicily etc. Of course italian but also local like dialect. Nothing important just down to roots. I love everyone from all over the world.
Per la prossima visita a Bologna ti consiglierei un piatto povero della tradizione contadina Romagnola, una minestra, i "passatelli in brodo di pollo", non li troverai da nessuna altra parte al mondo e sono un'esperienza
Oh me too, but turns out they usually ate with forks and knifes, especially neapolitan pizza when its still very hot. It's on another level of thin where it falls apart when you lift it like a conventional slice. That said, especially in Rome, pizza al taglio (by the slice) is enjoyed by hand from what I observed.
How do you make money to travel like this. So many people do and I have no clue how to start but I am not a RU-vidr nor do I want to be but other income ideas will help .
Characterized by or appealing to self- indulgence. A rich and decadent dessert. - Webster's dictionary. Thus, decadent is a subjective word and has nothing to do with your sensibilities about Cornettos, which appeal to my self-indulgence, very much.
I am from Bologna. You look too enthusiastic on everything, it's not credible! Are these videos all paid? And btw some of the places you visited were good, but some others were totally touristy and I could see just by seeing that food was nothing special.
