For once, Apex actually wasnt a deadweight outside of IGL. He had a couple of impactfull rounds; Ziwoo on the other hand was completely invisible again in the most important map
@@RedMejorada Katowice 22, Katowice 23, Antwerp, Sydney, Copenhague, Rio 22, ESL Finals, Dallas 24 finals, etc. It start to be a lot of events where he is choking underpressure and not performing when his team need him to
Last playoffs match that was as amazing as this was the Faze vs Spirit revenge quarterfinals at the Copenhagen major But even then it is kinda expected since it's the major Meanwhile no one would have ever predicted the absolute masterclass of a Counter-Strike game we got for a standard non-Katowice/Cologne IEM event Best eSports of all time baby
Lmao what kind of history? His major winning is a fluke and the team could not repeat it. Stewie always has been a mediocre player even during his peak time. I repeat he is mediocre. I guess ScreaM has better history in CS than Stewie.
I used to be Stewie2k fan but he once left CSGO and chose to play valorant on twitch for money lol..why he left CSGO u asked?? Bcuz after he won major against faze..he and his team liquid went straight garbage for a long time..
When doesn’t monesey pop off tho? Always his team letting him down, luckily niko wasn’t as inconsistent and hunter finally playing like it’s csgo again
@@eoin5628 True if m0NESY actually have good teams like Spirit and Vitality he would surprassed ZyWoo and Donk, his ratings lot higher and would've acheived couple of MVPs already
IIRC Monesy said that he doesn't want to be s1mple, he wants to make a name for himself. s1mple is good for highlights, but for mechanics, I think mayonaisy is better (in CS2). Just my opinion.
@@Chiwi_XD s1mple is who m0nesy looks up to so it kinda makes sense, but I love that he's making a name for himself now just like what Kobe did when people always compare him to Jordan.
1:14:51 this spray from m0nesy is actually insane. Perfect control to the last bullet at such a range. That’s one of the things that is required of you to be the best in the world. Not even his main weapon. Wild stuff
Agreed .. but I bet they won't clip this like they did for Donk who sprayed onto a no-kevlar faze and make a big deal out of it . This spray is far more impressive that Donk's
Thank god Hunter had the decency to give credits to Hooxi during the credits. People gotta remember that he was anti-stratting and helping them throughout the whole thing. If he wasn't available at all to them during the event, it could have gone very differently. Kudos to Niko too, found his form somewhat when it mattered and did the bare minimum as an igl and still exceeded
@@Octeger ever heard of using ur fucking brain or whatever u got in the head (and possibly answering in a normal way what i have said) instead of just calling out common phrases?
Stewie proved his worth but I didn't expect to see m0NESY going even harder than he was before, actually went super saiyan there's no way he isn't the GOAT at this point
Stewie won the crowd. But god he was stressful, first his 5-14 !!! in Inferno first 15 rounds, then on the end of Anubis, he was choking so hard and missing pointblank back turn spray twice in a row , giving the map in OT to VIT. He finally went 3-7 at the start of Nuke having low impact but made it back by outclassing Ziwoo in a duel. Still i can see him replacing everysingle player on Liquid but Twitzz if he wants to play on a tier 1,5 team
@@rac8153 definitely rusty but he also showed incredible prowess and definitely proved he's still tier 1 capable, if he can start hitting every spray and every transfer alongside his skills he's going to be amazing and I think this trophy proves teams will want to take the challenge of teaching an old dog new tricks
@@w5ildhero Oh ofc he gonna be great for NA CS like Liquid or Col. but for top tier team, outside of winning the NA crowd and a few rounds, he was quite heavy especially at the start of every map (5-14 on inferno is heavy)
G2 really need to fix their Nexa problem. Stewie having bad sprays, low impact or bad game like on inferno(5_14)/end Anubis is normal because he is a retired sub. But Nexa is their official 5th player, he should have more impact than that
@@de_747_ Stewie was also Vit MVP on OT Anubis and on the first 15 rounds of Inferno (5-14 while his team is winning isnt something you see everyday). Dunno what happened but he went full silver missing back turn sprays TWICE then peaked alone for no reason and giving the map to Vit. Good that he took a step back and let Monesy/Niko/Hunter hardcarry and played safe
Sadly 3rd map no OT, Zywoo went full invisible again and it was so one sided It was really stressful for G2 on inferno with Stewie having one hell of a bad game but Niko and monesy went god mode in OT
@@FullyLaidBack I was stressed also, Stewie was getting worse and worse after that awful end of anubis silver miss sprays. Monesy and Niko were still strong but the key was Hunter triple kill in pistols. With the 2 cousins and Monesy, i know they will finish early
So happy for Mezii finding his impact in these big games. Day before this he had the mirage** ace with last bullet hs too. Performs very well under pressure
People giving hooxi shit is just sad… Hunter mentioned that hooxi was with them on discord/ts after every single series to give them input/strats etc. Hooxi did his part this tournament! Congratulations to this team!!🎉
@@ItsFlyMCGFX always? Calm down, let's not forget the shitshow in Faze when he's leading the team. At least he did well for this event, I'll give him credit for that.
hooxi could be a good coach but trash as a player. Sadly he's been holding g2 back for so long. Stew just proved that with an actual skilled igl g2 can win
I've seen so many crazy plays but stuff like that is what impresses me as a 10-year CS veteran. Spray transfers are hard but long range transfer / spray control is WAY harder to hit.
Becausem The g2 storyline is all what's on the viewers mind. I'm sure once some analysts look at the match and upload their opinion, and talk about the nuances. I agree, Mezzi has been pivotal the entire playoffs.
💯 ! Especially his ace on anubis .. chefs kiss ! .. The guy wasn't showing up in the past few games . But he was their Zywoo in the grand final for sure.
I honestly couldn’t be happier watching this final. My two favourite teams going head to head, everyone played good, vitality showing good improvement with the new roster, but I’m glad G2 won and completed the miracle run with Stewie in front of the home crowd.
A scene we have never thought of, Stewie2K came back to pro league after 2 or 3 years as a substitution for Hooxi, playing with the man that he beated in 2018 Boston-Niko, and win the IEM at his hometown. WHAT A MIRACLE. Shout out to Hunter who finds himself back, also Nexa who has excellent clutch, and monesy, probably top 1 this year, we will see after Shanghai Major!
Stewie had jumped from team to team when he was still active, and every time he changed a team, they would win atleast 1 trophy (he even won a trophy for evil geniuses, which is a miracle in itself). Finally the American fans don’t need to cope and think shroud was any good. The true NA goat is back, stewies got that special effect to make any team win
Monesy-Niko duo is so good. Hunter also showed up really hard in map 1 and 3. Stewie gave the crowd and nexa had one 3 kill clutch For once, it was Apex Vit most impressive player. Great impact also from Flamez and Mezii And Zywho ? like The last Avatar : vanished when they needed him the most (again)
Nothing better then this. Amazing matchup, that delivers a banger of a match with a very loud crowd. Some of those roars at round wins or big plays gave me goose bumps. Love to see it.
Just realized this was just posted! Never played cs and just saw it on steam so I decided to RU-vid it. Can’t believe I’ve never played it. Can’t wait to play!
Both teams. Don't forget that monesy carried g2 the whole event, his impact and confidence are making g2 more consistent than before cuz he is getting more experience. Meanwhile zywoo is so impressive, but he unfortunately disappears in finals or semifinals, so in that case Vitality becomes a tier 2 team aswell.
He is great . But not consistent actually .. he was struggling the past few days .. but he did show up in the grand final . Some of his plays were insane ! Especially that last bullet ace on Anubis . Those taps were sick .. almost like prime niKo
I'm happy for stewie2k he deserves this one for all and some of the critics/ criticism he took in the passed. This was yours and G2 event the moon and stars lined up perfectly for you guys GG!
What a beast is M0nesy?! Best Cs2 player... even best player ever for me, maybe it is too early but I have never seen such a huge potential. Even more skillful than S1mple and Kenny...
@@MonsterhunterFTWWTFyou are high. Simple took a less capable weapon and THEN did it better than KennyS, for longer. You’re wearing insanely rose tinted glasses.
Finally apEX got humbled! G2 went through hell and back defeating both Mouz and Vitality, the top teams. It's so funny to watch the whole crowd behind them lmao!
