You have a kindred soul in my sister Lisa. Lisa has spent the last 30 years of her life taking care of other people. It started with my brother Mark, who has been gone for 17 years but we miss like he loves just left us yesterday. She took care of him for 13 1/2 years while he suffered from brain cancer. He finally reached a point in his life where he couldn’t handle any more chemo and did not have a positive outcome and he chose to just let nature take its course and she was with him every step of the way. Mark was gone, maybe four years and our father Had been diagnosed with small or little cell lung cancer, which there is no cure for and is always fatal. She came back-and-forth between her house in Tacoma our house outside of Chicago. She probably spent 2 1/2 years in nursing my father. It was something that my mom could not do and I could not do because I have my own stuff that I take care of by myself. My dad has been gone two years and she came back to help my brother who is my Irish twin And he passed rather quickly. But she was with him and his wife to help them, settle his affairs and take care of any of his business after he passed when she went home to Tacoma after my father passed away, which is 11 years on Wednesday a year later my mom went to live there in Tacoma about a half a mile away from my sister threw a very sad and cruel set of events my mother went blind. She’s been taking care of my mother for the last 10 years. Her husband also is deeply involved in my mother‘s care. They also have two foster children that they brought out of the situation that would curl your toes as I’m writing this she is in Spokane helping her friend, if I told you everything that was happening in Spokane, you think I was making it up. And she’s worrying about me because she knows that some of my news hasn’t been too positive lately. I have help five days a week. It’s only on the weekends that I’m by myself and my help literally lives two blocks from me. Talk about karma talk about God‘s looking out for me with everything you’re going through. I want you to know that there is someone who is Like you and doing the same thing. The very first prayer I say in the morning is for her. That the good Lord, keep her safe and sane as she drives over the mountains back-and-forth to help and one of her friends and family that needs her help. I will see what she does and I know what you do. You would be good friends she makes jewelry that’s her relaxing thing and , she taught herself Spanish I think she’s in the 12 years she speaks incredibly those were the things that keep her centered when she doesn’t have her hands full of family problems. So yes every day batches of prayers come your way and the time that you are taking now, and you took with your late aunt will be return to you tenfold. You may not know it, but I think you have probably already been fitted with angel wings. I hope your father is improving. I wish you weren’t on the other side of the coast, I would ask your mom to teach me how to crochet, that you are prayed for and loved certainly by your family and your friends, but most importantly by our Lord. I hope I didn’t get too sappy there, but you are a special person and you need to know it with blessings and prayers. Barbara
Nicole you are such a family person and I love hearing about your family and how close you all are. Family is the most importance thing in this world.
