Turn it all the way down and it's not bad. I thought this music was way over the top until I realized of course its added in. Someone could make a version where the fights are a in order instead of the highly creative jumping back and forth.
Youmissed out the best fight in my opinion. The one with Roddy Piper in the fairground. Now that was epic as was the one against the guy out of the Fine Young Cannibals.
Highlander season 2 episode 19 titled Legacy. That was the episode when Amanda's teacher Rebecca was murdered by the immortal Luther for the ancient crystals to live forever.
I try to look back fondly on this entire series that also includes the movies. The idea of immortals battling each other to the death with sword fighting is just thrilling to watch. I can't help but think about what it might be like in a more gritty realistic style. Like how long would an immortal live on average? Sooner or later they'll probably want to die kinda like vampires in true blood. Unless they really want to study and figure out their heritage. Somehow the eldest immortals are very handsome and well spoken in spite of genetic or environmental problems that may have existed hundreds if not thousands of years ago. The weapons are awesome, but when they only usually keep to one specific sword it could put them at a serious disadvantage. That's why I like connor and duncan because you got to see them train with different types. I do hope they try the reboot again with a more realistic approach this time.
I hope this reboot that is on the way ends up being executed brilliantly. There was quite a bit of cheese in the original series, though I love it all the same. A fresh start with a more realistic approach would be fantastic. I just hope the new movie is successful enough to launch a TV series again.
That one fool gets chunked off the roof:) I remember this one he fights this guy with a beard I think anyway it might've been the one you show with the guy in the white suit. This guy, he screams and points at Macleod and yells Macleod! They have a short but heated fight and when Macleod gets his quickening it looks like he's trying to take it all in like the kurgan tries in part one
I loved highlander. Especially the show, but I never quite understood what the quicking did. I get that you absorb their power, but wouldn't immortals thousands of years old be much better than those a few centuries old? What exactly was the benifit?
thats generally how it was in the series, the exceptions were ones who used modern weapons or other tricks. Duncan was successful because he trained as much as batman + plot armor. And finally modern fighting techniques of the last few hundred years would be superior to anything learned in ancient times, so unless those old immortals kept up the entire time, they could easily be surpassed if they got lazy
@@Chris-Smith true. It just always seemed like a plot hole. Could an immortal just stay on holy ground a train for centuries; never take a head and wait until they are one of the last 2?
@@FireinTheBowl not a chance, even sparring isnt equivalent to fighting someone in a life or death battle. Also someone who has killed even one other immortal would always be superior to someone who has never taken a head. Also immortals have been killed (rare) or ambushed/kidnapped on holy ground. The only restriction is you cant KILL them on holy ground, it was once mentioned it could cause a catastrophic earth quake or other natural disasters. Hell, just send a mortal to kill the immortal on holy ground
