Haven't watched it yet, but I think the main problem is the spawn mechanic. With thanos it was simple: At some point a gauntlet spawns. First person to touch it gets the power up. Simple. Doom, however, is designed to kinda spoil the point of it. It spawns on the island which is already a problem as that way by the time it spawns you are usually, in my experience, down to the last few player. Usually 30 or more often much less. The bigger problem is that since it's an island you have to capture it, which takes alot of time. Time that is usually spent fending off those few survivors. By the time someone claims the island half the lobby is dead and it's down more often than not to the top 10 meaning instead of this big rampage as doom with the lobby you just curb stomp a handful of helpless people no issue. Players used to still have a shot at killing you since with thanos it could spawn early enough that a decent chunk of players were left to take your health down a peg before the top 10, but with doom you are all but guaranteed to be one of the last few standing and by that point it's no contest. Which makes the island problem worse cause people will go to the island even more cause if they don't they WILL die. Doom either needs lower health, or a much earlier spawn time.

Fun Fact, this is also the same Doctor Doom that is from the 616 Marvel Comics. Its just so happens that Doctor Doom has A ton of the Omniverses Most Powerful Weapons and was able to kill most of the marvel heroes and villains so goddamn quickly. However, I can agree with you that this feels.. rushed in a way. Because why use the Old Doctor Doom Skin PNG and not the New Doom PNG?

I don't understand why you would be pissed off at getting jam tracks in the battle pass, the songs that are jam tracks are also made to be music packs for the lobby. And Fortnite put music packs in the battle pass since chapter 1 season 6. So it's not like we are losing spaces over them, we actually get more from the battle pass. And the battle pass is the cheapest way to get songs, for the same price of 2 jam tracks from the shop you get 3 tracks. While the festival pass does include 6 tracks (3 free and 3 paid), it's still double the price of a battle pass. Edit: fixed some grammatical errors in the comment

Pretty much disagree with everything you said except that the game is almost over by the time the island spawns. Iv had the power a good few times now and at no point was it ever not contested. The reason why you've seen the island once, you said it yourself... You've been on STW

I feel like if they made it a 15% spawn It would be better It’s still rare But a higher chance of spawning Or better yet just make it a completely different Game mode in general

It is a very poorly dumb ass thought idea. It should be its own game mode. Allowing more people a chance to use it. I got it and by time I did there was only 4 people left. I wasn’t even really able to play with it to its full extent. Especially because it came down to a 2v2 and they were just using jetpacks forcing me to have to only use the laser

The reason it’s such a low chance to find it, is to make it special and exciting when you do get it. If it spawned every game it’d get tiring and people would just start to quit due to it being so overpowered.

I agree with you on basically everything along with mostly the Super styles. honestly they should've done a homage to the first marvel season by doing Silver, Gold, And Holo foil. It would look 10x better than the reused generic superstyles we got this season.

While I do actually like that it isn’t a guaranteed spawn since it balances it out due to the fact that there is not a 100% chance of getting it in the game. What I can’t defend is just how low the spawn rate is. But honestly, I could excuse that if it wasn’t for the fact that it only spawns in extremely late game when there’s barely anybody left.

Seen the island 3 times. It's hardly possible to get it before dying to at least someone unless you're willing to pick people off one by one. To kill a Doom you NEED a the full war machine arsenal, black panther gloves and Doom hands.. it's broken broken

I think it would be better idea if dr doom was just an ltm like thanos, especially because it's not even gonna be here for the whole rest of the season it's just until the first few weeks of October. They are making another marvel bash ltm though and apparently it's also gonna have the old marvel mythics, all marvel mythics including infinity gauntlet were added back into the files so I'm super excited for that! Jesus loves you all Edit: Just had a thought, maybe it's not an LTM because of the upcoming marvel LTM we are already gonna get, and maybe it will be in that, imagine doing dr doom vs thanos that would be sick.

Honestly I was SO fucking excited for this season I’m a BIG comic reader and collector have been for the last 18 years and yeah.. this season has been nothing but bullshit I also saw the island spawn once this weekend I killed everyone and captured it and well.. it glitched I couldn’t even fucking capture the island so thanks epic

I feel the reason they included the Lego stuff is because no one is buying these Lego items. I remember getting the star wars pass just cause you get chewie. Epic just seems dead set to make Lego mode relevant.

It's just I don't understand WHY they put a 12% chance of getting the island in a match. You have to be insanely lucky if you get the mythic without getting killed by the 20 players that will rush to the island. I mean THANOS had his gauntlet spawning at the beginning of the battle royal, and even if it was available for everyone IT WAS STILL HARD TO GET because everyone wanted to play Thanos. OK the Doom mythic is way too OP and it's basically a free win for the guy having the mythic and it's not fair for the other players. BUT if those players want to play the game without getting demolished by a Dr Doom mythic than EPIC NEEDS TO MAKE A SPECIAL GAMEMODE WHERE THE MYTHIC HAS 100% CHANCE OF SPAWNING FOR THE PLAYERS INTERESTED TO PLAY DOOM AND THE REGULAR PLAYERS ENJOY THE CLASSIC BATTLE ROYAL MODE WITHOUT GETTING THEIR ASS KICKED.

I wish they made it an 100 percent chance for the island to spawn. This is becuase if they did there would be less of an incentive to grab it becuase you could try any time you wanted. But now since its so rare everybody is trying to get it and there is probably a zero percent chance for most players to get it.

I get wanting to have the Doom mythic every match but the problem is that ranked kinda sucks, it’s not really your typical Fortnite experience. This is coming from someone who LOVES the mythic btw, it’s just that it’s not really balanced to have it every match if it’s not an LTM. It’s kinda like having random crits in TF2 pubs. I think 15% - 20% along with the island spawning earlier would be a nice balance. It makes more sense anyways, who’s gonna contest the regular island if there’s a bunch of bunkers open already?

Reason why you see people claiming it uncontested is they got into a bot game with a lvl 1 account as the party leader, once in that account leaves the game. The bots won't go up there at all.

I had it twice and lucky enough second time i actually got it. And it was during period, second time at least, when they allegedly made it 20% instead of 5% and now... It is 5% again. I just hope that Disney buy means there will be dedicated Disney World bs map with All Marvel stuff in it including Thanos and Dood

This is my first time experiencing a marvel season and boy did they fuck up, doom mythic lasts till October, has a really hard chance to spawn and if it does the whole fucking lobby will come to it and before you can get it you’ll get a win, captain jones was extremely uncalled for, peelverine gets a pass since it’s been a joke since the OG marvel season, the super styles reference doom’s past which is kinda cool but the styles are copy and paste with different color, the only thing good out of this season is the camo and iron patriot style for war machine, also gwenpool is pretty good, anyways I feel like they should either buff the chances or make a separate LTM (ik it’s coming but everyone’s inpatient) and also another thing, why the fuck are collab stuff banned from creative, I’m sure it’s some copyright issue but goddamn epic, make a deal with atleast marvel

I was quite fond of the mosh pit experience of everyone fighting over who actually gets to yank the Infinity Blade out of it's ice block, didn't ever get to wield it personally but was fun to try, I imagine it was the same for the Infinity Gauntlet, more or less. How dare you! Fire and Steel and Lord of the Wasteland are awesome, same goes for the extended versions of emote songs you can find on Party Royale, I do get the sentiment though :p

I had the island once to. And i was in squads and i keep being put in sweat lobbys. So it was me 12 sweats and my three other below average zero build playing friends. I think you know how that ended.

Loved what you said about epic being lazy and not caring about details, I personal go as far as to say that it was straight up false advertisement that they put the picture of ch2s4 doctor doom then the one we have now, also a lego set in the battle pass??? go straight to hell epic the deepest depths! I also 1000% agree it should be in every match the first storm circle because if it's in the 3rd there's no point and I hate how it announces to everyone that the island spawns and having to fit the whole lobby theres so much more I want to say because they stop caring about there game

Bro same here. I am always being put in the sweats games and I am not that good. But I got my high level by playing Lego Fortnite and bot lobby’s. But here is the crazy this I got doom island in a bot lobby. But I think it should be at the start of the game.

tbh i think ALL of the battle pass rewards are very much ass (except marvel skins, NOT the peely and jonesy), and dr doom just had so much more potential for better cosmetics. the Lego mode is the one with the lowest player count i think. even a jam track wouldve been better, its a perfect oppertunity for a MF DOOM collab

problem with the mythics and stuff now and the separate loot pools is so many high rank player whine that x y or z are op and broken, so then epic doesn't add it to comp, but then also proceeds to nerf it into the ground, rather than use the power dynamic to make everyone feel op. and obviously some you cant do that with like doctor dooms gauntlets or the armor, or even things like thanos and the infinity blade cause they're singular items. but even then, making them feel powerful is kinda the point with the target you get on your back from them.

They could have just made it an LTM like they did with the Thanos Mode in season 4

when i got doom mythic i was in top 4 rest of the lobby teamed on me and i saw the problem when thanos was in game players were shit now i got lazered and i had no chance

I agree with quite a lot of the video but I have to disagree on the point on jam tracks. Epic have put out many great music packs over the years. They have had music packs in the pass since season 6 and since have majorly improved from emote remixes to fully fleshed out songs which now have gameplay functions linked to them. As long as the cosmetics can be used on BR I’m fine with them being in the pass. Lego definitely should not be in the pass due to this

I play Lego, BR & festival. Im stoked about the decor kit in the BP. The current festival season's chosen mascot? Total shit. At this point I'd rather play Lego or BR than festival (or rocket racing). Epic wants more ppl subbed to Crew so why not just add all the passes to it? I've been in ONE BR match where doom island spawned. Stoked my Duo got to be Doom for a while, but the chance of getting the island is rediously small.

I have got the Doom island once ad i captured it only because two other teams who fought over it escaped due to storm being already on the island. I at least happy that i don't need to fight this mythic every match so it's probably for the better it has low chance of spawning. Still kinda lazy to do this instead of something new and interesting
