NYU Langone took over and completely renovated the building, however this elevator hasn't changed a bit, except for the new door sensor.

Very rarely does an epic motor pop up on an elevator like this.

Notice they added lighting on the sensor!, now that’s super rare on a Schindler

That comes from the door sensors that were added a few years ago. It is very weird.

So they did change the sensors on this since I visited. I was told by a friend of mine that the sensors were changed to these Janus door sensors with the voice. That's so weird for just a Schindler HT.
