@@lupohutchington269in fact Kuru, a rare and always fatal disease caused by prion transmission, was common among the Fore people of Papua New Guinea because or ritual cannibalism.
American mothers eat their own placentas all the time and people think it's fine. 100% a form of cannibalism and drives me nuts. Just throwing that out there.
But that was the point! It was fun that all the oompa loompas looked the same, it added that mystery about them. Also, it's a classic movie, that means they can always do a new version, but I could assure you it wouldn't be as fun if they had all different looking oompa loompas 🤷🏽♀️ just my opinion..
(Cuts her ears off, encases her in amber. All the while dancing and drinking rum.). You will always remember this as the day that you almost caught captain jack sparrow.
Weirdest part is Johnny Depp and Crispin Glover have been long time friends growing up, so I can’t tell if this was all in good fun or malicious towards an old friend.
The dancing too, I always felt that Crispin saw the dancer for the Fudduwaggon and he wanted to do his own version. His dancing here is like the dancing from Alice in Wonderland
Marty: "Mom, is that you?" Lorraine: "Easy now, sweety." Marty: "I was having a dream, that Willy Wonka is my dad." Lorraine: "Well it's safe and sound now, back in good old, chocolate factory." Marty: *CHOCOLATE FACTORY?!*
I don't disagree that it's a funny movie by any means but parody movies have been around for decades, I mean pretty much as long as movies have been around. Even blazin saddles could be labeled as a generic spaghetti western parody, but the whole Scary Movie franchise are parodies, airplane, haunted house, Austin powers, like the list really goes on and on
I find it funny and ironic how the actor playing wonka later on works with johnny depp in Alice in wonderland…must have been a really awkward moment like “hey Johnny……..all respect……love ya…..” 😂
Crispin glover (the actor playing wonka in this) had actually worked on a few films with depp beforehand, also depp was also considered for Marty mcfly in the back to the future films
I vaguely remember this. I think this played on TV when I was at my grandma's as a kid, and wrote it off as some fever dream. Cut to now and I still write this off as some fever dream.
0:51 LMAO I'm at work an saw this scene in my head randomly, I guess cause the song was playing on our speakers and had to come look. Epic movie was way too ahead of it's time man. 😭😭🤣🤣
I thought it was a fever dream also saw it in kindergarten it’s funnier when you never seen narnia I always thought this was the original narnia until I got older
I don't know why but with whatever budget this movie had, the chocolate factory looks really good, even though it's probably a single set. Also, Willy's dance moves are my favorite part of the movie and the only reason I clicked on this video
This scene single handedly gave me the most vivid nightmare I've ever had for about 12 years. Now every time I watch the movie I always think there's an r rated sequel
This was my first exposure to Charlie and the chocolate factory, and it scarred me for life😭 but it's crazy how this actually wasn't far off how messed up it originally was
This scene scared the shit out of me when i was a kid. My parents thought it was a all in one kids film and left me alone with it. Now i have never seen a willa wonka film before this so let that sink in that this was my first introduction to any willy wonka adaptation
That weird face when he says: "You're... mine... now..." cracks me up more than his dancing which, by the way, is ALL Crispin Glover. See similar dancing in Friday the 13th part IV.
