@@steph2137 thank you. She was abused at 4 months and not expected to live. She just had her 7th Birthday and is a miracle. She is doing so well and is such a blessing.

Stephanie, I am not her sole caregiver, my daughter has her and her 9 year old sister. Grandpa and I are there every step of the way and help a lot. We love being there for them. It was her dad that did it, so my daughter divorced him and he went to prison, so my daughter is on her own. Thanks for thinking of her. Her name is Kyra and she's a grandma's girl. I'll have her and her sister all day today and I'll tell her hi from Australia!

I love watching Abbie during package time. The second she gets candy or cookies her attention is on them the entire time. Its funny to see her just waiting there for the right moment when everyone is distracted to grab them. 🤣

If either of you have a recipe written in your mothers handwriting or grandmothers, my sil has a machine that will engrave the recipe on a cutting board. It will look like the handwriting. If you don't have any recipe, if you get them to write them out. It makes a sweet gift. My mother had my grandmother pound cake recipe engraved on large cutting boards and small ones for my brother and I.

I love that Abbie has a best friend Summer. Someone who is there because they love her. But even though they are friends Summer still has to watch out for Abbie and not give her all the candy she wants to eat. That must be hard for Summer telling Abbie no. But Summer does it with so much love. Watching Abbie and Summer together just makes me smile. Thank you Fathering Autism and thank you Summer.
