My name is Ian, and it seems I've found my home on the road. Following my separation from my wife in early 2023, van life emerged as my solution.
In the early months of 2023, I embarked on a journey of building out a 1998 Volkswagen Transporter van. Despite its cozy size, I tackled the project with minimal experience, relying on online tutorials. However, as I juggled living and working remotely, I soon realised the limitations. So, I made the leap and invested in a 2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van, formerly an ambulance, equipped with a 3.0 V6 diesel engine. Amidst roadside stops, I pieced together another DIY build.
Fuelled by my passion for adventure and the desire for a healthier lifestyle, van life offered me a fresh perspective. I believe in the profound potential for personal growth and seek to inspire others to chase their aspirations. Rejecting the allure of consumerism, I prioritise authenticity and joy in my journey. Let's unite in embracing happiness, creativity, individuality, and positivity along this remarkable road of life.
That all said, if you could do you (and me) a solid and consider subscribing to my channel to stay up to date with our antics. And for the generous ones amongst you, you can always head over to Patreon and support the channel there too.

@@OneAussiesAdventure yeah Canada is basically the same although they keep tearing the older buildings down so there’s nothing of the history 😞

Another great video! I love having you explain and sharing your opinions. I think this is the first time I’ve seen the Opera House so up close, it really is amazing. Knowing that I will probably never get to see Australia myself, you are such a great person to follow and I am learning so much every time… so thank you so so much!!!

Can people walk across the bridge? Love the older looking building.

Yeah there is a guided tour to climb the arch to the top. Costs about $300-$400 per person (yikes). The rain got worse that day I filmed so I decided to try on my return trip

@@OneAussiesAdventure yes I think she was asking if people can just walk across. If they have a walking path. You can also go to the top of one of the pylon on the city side. Again great views think it’s like $25
