Where did we go for two weeks? So many places! Here's what we did the first third of our trip - and I would like a cookie for figuring out how to add photos and keep the audio rolling, LOL.
Big hug from me I wanna give you big hug my sister, my tics gettin crazy lately :)))I wanna open my brain and want to look inside what cable is missing:))) in my brain maybe I should go back school and become a brain surgery lollll:)))))
I can't - I can't get a diagnosis and keep getting written off as having "stress," so until I can get someone to take me seriously, prescription medications are out. Which, honestly, I would really rather avoid anyway, but I do have some concern about how things will be for me five to ten years from now if things keep progressing the way they have been.
They honestly don't ask often - I'm not sure if it's because I mask it well enough or if it's because they've gotten used to it (or maybe a combination of the two). When my oldest (seven years old) asks why I did a tic, I usually just brush it off with, "it's just something I do" or "because I did," lol. For now that seems to be enough for her, haha!
When things first went really haywire I was put on Ativan, which helped some but made me feel like a zombie and I HATED it. I was on that for around 3-4 months and then started weaning myself off it because the tics weren't as bad at that point. I haven't been on medication since for it, but wonder if I may have to at some point in the future, since my "waxing" seems to be getting a bit worse and lasting longer each year before waning.
