It makes me laugh. People say Eurovision has had its day, it's no longer worth the money & the competition is old fashioned & sad. Then you get someone like Epic Sax Guy, a member of the Moldovan group SunStroke project, who came 22nd Eurovision with Run Away in 2010 & sparked this meme. The same group entered again in 2017, when they came 3rd with Hey, Mamma! Then in 2021, Italian group Måneskin were a runaway success with their song Zitti e buoni. Not only did they win Eurovision, they ended up having a world-wide hit, unusual for a song in Italian. They even make waves in the US, which is almost unheard of for a Eurovision song. This exposure has led to them having now had several songs in multiple charts around the world. Additionally this year's winner Stefania by the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra & a few other songs, such as Rosa Linn entry for Armenia, Snap, have also become famous around the world. People worldwide are now understanding how great Eurovision is. 🙂

You know, I don't know about every other part of the world, but from all those songs you mentioned in your comment, only "Run away" and "Snap" were spread around my country, AFTER their respective Euroviosion Song Contests ended. The others were never heard again in here, and are far from "successes" (here) as you called them.

Not Maro, but i would just go for the standard dübreq Stylophone! …unless he‘s a drummer (the drum stylophone then) or a big Bowie fan (they do a special edition, but it‘s just cosmetics).

People worldwide are now understanding how great Eurovision is. This can only be beneficial to the competition. It's even shaken the UK out of its ridiculous attitude towards the competition & we actually sent a competitive song in 2022, instead of the usual dross, & were rewarded with a well-deserved 2nd place for Sam Ryder's Space, Man. 🙂
