It was actually something like that on real battles. If everyone fights at the same time, most of the forces would die in less than 1 hour of battle... What's the point of winning a battle if the whole generation of your nation was wiped out. if less than 10% battles at a time, you can actually make strategic choices, as to spend more or less units, choose when to retreat, creat another oportunity. Imagine the mess of getting the whole army into hand to hand combat and be stuck with how the battle is. No one will listen orders with a enemy sword at their face, no one would retreat without backup, most would just die.

It can work. They just need to iron out the game breaking bugs. When I say game breaking I MEAN game breaking. Like enemy units running away from an objective before coming back only to run away from it again. This is just sad. The devs will probably fix it but this is a horrible first impression. How are we supposed to enjoy sieges if the enemy doesn't even know how to take objectives?

Brilliant graphics but the animation and movement is off... for example, look at this part 6:22, the soldiers all just ignore the giant monster, casually shuffling by it.

@@Sgt_ioiwsl you know a game you might like alot is 'call to arms' its modern warfare between Russia and Nato, and US and Mid East /Baltic. And its rts but you can chage to fps when you want. Mite scartch that itch for you its pretty awesome, so is erm .... wargame red dragon (pacifac ww3 in 80s) with some cool 90s scenarios too.
