On this trek we traveled on the San Carlos Reservation to fly fish the Black River to target some big small mouth bass! We spent one night and two days on the Black River catching over 50 fish during a span of 2 days fishing! We caught a variety of species from small mouth bass to round tail chub to even a small brown trout! With multiple fish breaking the 15 inch mark, most of the fish ranged from 8-10 inches! It was a blast catching these small mouth bass and was worth the drive out there! Make sure if you fish the reservation that you get your permits!
