I found 4 brand new old stock of these fixtures, but they don’t have a starter. I remember my old ones had a starter like your’s here, but these I found seem to have the starter integrated into the ballast maybe? They turn on all right and don’t make the clicky sound I loved. Do you know if “starterless” was a thing, maybe a last improvement they made on these?
I love the magnet / hook mount fixture in the background! I usually see those in 70W High Pressure Sodium or 70W Metal Halide but the HPS ones seem to be more common.
@@DieselDucy Ericson? Those seem to be the most common "brand" I see on these things. I assume you can just swap the ballast for a Metal Halide one, but it might not have the right mounting points as HPS ballasts are smaller though. Although you may also get lucky and they used the same cast metal housing for both MH and HPS!
