Its easy to see the age of this Sennheiser mics by the design style of the enclosure: MD21 came first, because Omnis came first. Than the MD421 - think VW Beetle. Than MD441 - think DeLorean.
I don’t disagree, actually! I went back to get some b-roll but in the moment I should’ve done a better job at being thorough. What’s cool, though, is you should be able to go to their website and see a gear list... I think! Thanks for the comment
@@aaronnewberry yes, man loving this videos, thanks for do it! It would be a plus to the video, to see in depth all the material (microfones, mixing desk etc..). Good Work
@@Martinez11g Of course! I’m going to do a follow up for Cardinal Song because there’s some things I forgot which I address in my next video that’s coming this week

Cool place, good convo but is your camera op for this vid your girlfriend? All the footage is of you guys, and very little of the actual gear and rooms! He/she had one job!!! lol.
I think it would be easy to get intimidated in a nice studio like that if you aren't a big-time artist/musician but LG just seems like a down-to-earth good dude who would make you feel right at home.
Ah man, you made my day! Thanks so much Joe, I’m no know it all and I’ve got no qualms coming off as the curious cat. I love learning and I know there’s so much to know. Hopefully you stick around for a what’s to come 🙏🏽
@@aaronnewberry We *never* know it all. Those who *think* they do only inhibit themselves from continued growth. I know i'm hyped to try that pop filter trick!
Aaron, thank you for this channel! Im from NE Oklahoma and have been in the recording game for 20+ years. Never knew of the scene in OKC, I admiringly live under a rock. Great stuff!
Oh man, you're super welcome, and thanks for the encouraging words! There's a lot going on here in OKC, I've just scratched the surface. Do you have a website?
It’s fun to see what other people use day in and day out. Plus it’s fun to dream that maybe we can acquire some of the coveted gear one day! Haha. Thanks for stopping by
I think we can find a healthy balance, studio gear is cool but what truly makes a studio are the people that are in it. Solid feedback, you’re nit the first to say so, will definitely be thinking that through for the next that are coming. Thanks!
Man he needs some Earthworks for that Baldwin! I had an upright Baldwin at my old house in Chicago...in the basement. It got flooded so many times down there in the early 90's! The thing was a mold magnet that sounded awesome! Wish I still had it. Was my mom's and we moved to the burbs and got rid of it so. Bummer. Anyways did some recording at this guys house, he had a Baldwin and tracked it with Earthworks. It was Sooooo crystal clear, 3d, present and there, but also wide, and detailed! The detail was amazing!!!! After that Earthworks where all I can imagine on grand pianos! And acoustic guitars! And sax, violin, clarinet, ummm shall I go on?
I’ve got a buddy with a Boston upright and he uses a combo of Earthworks, Koles and a Stereo Ribbon (cant remember by whom) and those all together are amazing. You’re right, crystal clear is a great description!
