More photography at the Golden Gate Bridge today!
Check out my photography on IG at @brendanvanson.
Today, I got up for sunrise to shoot photography of the Golden Gate Bridge. This is now my 4th attempt on this trip to San Francisco to do some epic photography of the bridge. The first 3 times I've liked the images, but haven't loved them. So, I headed up towards Hawk Hill - one of the most popular places to take pictures of The Golden Gate Bridge.
Honestly, the Golden Gate Bridge is really easy to take pictures of. There are hundreds of locations you can photograph it. At the end of the day, it just comes down to light. In general, no matter what the angle, I prefer sunrise to sunset in San Francisco. It's around sunrise that you get fog, really nice clouds, and the locations are all quieter. It's generally all just photographers out.
Now, I couldn't get to Hawk Hill because of the US Government shut down. But, I did get to a spot just up the road to get some epic photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm beyond happy with the location. Travel photography is a little bit about exploring. And, I've had so much fun exploring angles for photography in San Francisco.
Jodie and I spent the rest of the day exploring San Francisco. And, we just had an awesome time in the city.
Tomorrow on the photography channel we leave San Francisco and head down the Pacific Coast Highway.
