I've tried that but every time I do, it messes up the "cha-ching" notification to where it doesn't work at all. I think it's because I have an Android phone and not an iPhone but that's ok. I don't mind hearing that "cha-ching" notification twice as often. (LOL) :)

I agree, it is sometimes frustrating. All comes with the territory, but I try to be as pleasing as possible. My favorite sales are ones where someone buys the card for full price while at the same time someone is trying to get it for 50% off. Then I get a message asking where the card listing went. Then I get a message to say they would have eventually given full price because it was a business their relative owned or a similar story and they really wanted the card. Most transactions are so pleasant because the ephemera realm is full of wonderful people.

I have my listings set to accept offers but I set the minimum and the auto-accept at the same price. I don't care who buys from me or why. If they meet my minimum price they get accepted. Whoever pays first gets the card now that multiple people can offer. I don't like haggling and I let eBay deal with the deadbeats if I run into one. Back in the old days I did vet people but not now. Not worth it for all the protections we now have. I also don't have notifications on my phone. That would drive me nuts. I have 2-3 day shipping so I can just check once or twice a day and process my orders. My income is based on my minimums so if someone pays full price that is gravy. This is just what works for me.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Some customers are just more of a headache than making the sale, I've fired clients in my business before because they were a nightmare for me to deal with.

I just usually send them a counteroffer with my minimum price and decline anything lower than that. I am a member of John's channel and watched that video. But in 26 years on Ebay I have never had anything like that particular issue happen to me. Not saying that it won't happen but I think it would be a rare occasion.

I do that as well Stephen. I usually attach a note with my "minimum price" stating "This is the best I can do on this. If this works for you, the card is yours...." That lets them know I am not willing to go any lower.

Excellent advice I've blocked trouble buyers (it's a short list consisting of three or four people). Thier money isn't worth the headache.

I get that. My blocked buyer list is a little longer than that. (LOL) I don't like to block buyers. I'd rather counter their low ball offers but sometimes when you see too many red flags and sense that the buyer may be a problem, you just "gotta do whacha gotta do." (LOL)

I had a buyer last month send me two low-ball offers. I countered both of them. It's a $20 card. He sent me a screenshot of prices from 2023 on this same subject matter but different views telling me this is what he has paid for in the past. Those prices were $7-9. I don't even know where he got those prices. I can't find them, anywhere! I told him the market has gone up for this card because one had just sold for $20! Never heard from him again! lol. I thought sending me the screenshot was a bit tacky. I'm glad I did the research!

I agree. Always do your research. I don't know why some buyers think that because a postcard sold for a certain dollar amount years ago, it would be the same price now. (LOL).
