Epic Universe is also a game changer because it is incorporating a variety of rides, attractions, and experiences for all ages. Disney tends to focus on families and rely on nostalgia. Six Flags and similar parks focus on teens/younger adults and thrill rides. Universal Studios and Epic Universe are covering more ages and offering more variety. In addition, Epic Universe is making it convenient to have 4 worlds with so much to do, it’s going to force guests (in a good way) to stay at the park longer and make their parks more enticing to have those be the focus of people’s trips and vacations - similar to how people spend their entire vacation going to Disney’s parks. Finally, Epic Universe also has the land right now to expand areas of the worlds in the future; the full map isn’t complete. So the retention and customer return will be there for years to come.

I love this video but I really hope some time in the near future a singular imagineer steps in and says “no cutting corners, no blue sky, none of that” because Disney rn it’s okay but not in the best condition

I actually am excited about Epic universe I’ve been talking epic universe since it was just a rumor and people were theorizing they might announce a new park before 2030 and what might have

Also I will say as a Florida resident I don’t appreciate the notion that universal can’t already compete with Disney they may be smaller but the parks the have right now ask any person in Florida even young kids like my little cousin they say they prefer the universal parks over Disney any day even if it’s only a 3 day experience 4 days at most we would rather go back and ride those same rides over and over again due to the greater quality than go to Disney the only thing Disney has that comes close to universals level is guardians cosmic rewind and that just one ride in a whole park that, tower of terror, and Tron (even tho Tron is hella short and underwhelming) the only thing epic universe is really adding to the universal experience is that the company that stole all the talented imagineers from Disney finally has the space and the budget to go all out and do everything they wanted to do
