Chase, have you ever thought about including a comparison to like Tumi or other "mainstream professional" bags? I know you focus on the indies, but sometimes it's hard to know how they all stack up against each other without the direct comparison. Finding a commuting backpack that's not out of place in a law office is my holy grail bag. I got spoiled with using Peak's everyday for school (perfect for extremely large and heavy textbooks), but I don't think it's professional looking enough for work. However, I now want full side access on everything. Most of the leather backpack options that look good--simply don't have the functionality of bags like Peak which makes me endlessly disappointed in them. Love what you do! (I still watch despite having put a moratorium on myself for new bags for the rest of the year).
The nomatic travel bag has a respectable 3 mode. 20l. 30l. 20l sideways (brief case mode). I said screw it and started carrying 5.11 stuff. You can attach what ever you want where ever you want with all that molle.

I use a SF Bags Waterfield Designs black ballistic nylon Bolt laptop bag in business contexts.It looks thinner (that is important) than the one you are reviewing but entirely adequate for me (at least). And of course it is SF Bags Waterfield's legendary very high quality. Reasonably priced at $329. I enjoyed your review of this Waterfield bag. Most people don't need to know the following (but you do)--if one is required to use a wheelchair sometimes, a thinner backpack like the Bolt can comfortably be worn on one's chest while in the wheelchair; or one can easily hold it in one's lap, even with other items if need be. I enjoyed your review of this Waterfield bag.
This is a great looking bag for work, but it's a little above my comfortable budget range for something like it. I've been using the newly-redesigned Uniqlo 3-way bag, carrying it around tradeshows and work. It's an awesome, professional-looking workhorse bag for $40. It has all the modes here, rain-resistant zips, a decent and basic material, and the redesign seems more thought out than the previous version. If people can't afford the Qwstion, I'd say to at least give the Uniqlo a look. But Chase, I've gotta stop listening to you. My wallet can't handle your great reviews of some bags I'd never considered before. :-) Even awesome bags with great pockets for papers...business papers, man.
Hey, I traveled a lot in SEA with this one in blue. Found it through your earlier Qwstion reviews. Ist very gut ja? Danke :) If you're not one-bagging it's a nice little daypack that doesn't feel too geeky (I love that it doesn't have engineer straps). Quick access pocket is great for money/password and the inner pockets are great for stoving away things. It's small enough that the carry-on-weight-nazis won't pull you aside. I actually crammed both a 15" MacBook and 13" PC into it. You can swing it to your side and stash your mobile/keys into the "papers" pocket through the side access. I wish it was more segmented though, things float around in the inner pocket. Also wish you could snap the inner flap to the side to keep it more stable. Putting a carabiner on the inner-zipper is a good hack for stashing keys. The fabric does show some wear though, some reddish scratches showing through the blue in places (2 years use). Not a big deal but slightly annoying. A great trick I started using, is having an inner bag (waterproof) that I cram cables, chargers, etc into. Then I can just pull it out when unpacking. Overall really recommend it though. Update: They seemed to have removed the "flap" paper pocket in the newer versions. I see why but I kinda wish they've kept it and added a snap instead, pity. Vegan Driftwood version looks amaz though :) PS. I traveled a season with the Daytote as well, which seemed like a fun idea in theory but the small straps didn't manage the weight and frayed quickly. Also tore of the side zipper :( I think the zippers are the same on the Daypack so be a bit careful. DS.

Dude, good shout out at the end - I love Matt D’Avella, and he has one of my absolute favourite RU-vid channels (actually two, if we count The Ground Up Show for his podcast, which is full of killer interviews with interesting people and well worth a watch/listen). I’m not good at actually getting rid of junk and I have too much STUFF in my too-small flat so you’d never look at me and call me a minimalist, but I’m a huge proponent of the essentialism/minimalism thing, and taking the time and effort to find good quality things that serve your needs well and will last a long time. So I hear you :)

Damn, if Patagonia or Fjallraven made this form factor with more sustainable materials like recycled polyester, I'd be on it already. I also was misled and thought this was going to be a garment bag/backpack transformer for suits.

Thank's Chase for another great video :) I started this one thinking that i'm going to not like this bag and hours after watching it i couldn't think about anything else. Even if it's not my dream bag i like it a lot (exept i'd like to have another external pocket and maybe a little more organisation like pen slots). apparently this bag is on the decay and wears away quickly. for the price thats kind of disappointing. all show and no go. :( i had high expectations from your glowing review of "Qwstion"... all i see is Qwstionable Quality.
