The band are… Band leader Mark Jansen (growler and guitar), Simone Simons, lead vocals, Coen Janssen, keyboards (those are the three original members). Isaac Delahaye, lead guitar, Rob Van Der Loo, bass and Arien Van Weesenbeek, drums.
@@purplebutterflywithabrokenwing Mark Jansen is the founder and mastermind of Epica, though all band members contribute to songwriting. Lyrics are written either by Mark or Simone, roughly 50/50. Btw, Simone was Mark's GF back in 2002 when she joined Epica. 😉They broke up around 2006/2007 but luckily the band wasn't affected negatively.

I see you've already gone down the nightwish and epica rabbit holes. I recommend to react to nightwishs and epicas sister band wintersun. They have band members from wintersun that are now in nightwish. I suggest to react first to wintersun sons of winter and stars 1.5 lyric video to get the full meaning of the song. Next would be wintersun time live rehearsal video at Sonic pump studios in Helsinki Finland. Follow up next with wintersun land of snow and sorrow live rehearsal video. Hi...nice reaction....I liked it....the guy with the harsh vocals is Marc Jansen(not related to Floor)....but he was a member of After Forever (Floors first band)....he decided to leave After Forever and then co founded Epica....thanks for reacting
It wasn't Floors band tho. It was Mark's band where Floor became the lead singer. When Floor started dating another member Sander Gommans, they eventually forced Mark out of his own band... Luckily, thanks to that we now have phenomenal Epica and goddess Simone. We couldn't wish for anything better. 🙂
