I know alot of interviews get boring when there's no real interaction its just back to back questions. Then the artist can't relax. This was the complete opposite. Maddox is cool for that. Hope other Korean acts like Blackpink get invited to this radio for their ATL show. They need a relaxed interview

Exactly. I know theyre friends but i wish more people treated BTS like Tablo said. They're a good band on a good show. Not making a spectacle. Its been 2 years since breaking into U.S. Treat BTS like the artists they are

It makes me so happy. BTS started off as fanboys now they're friends of Epik High and the two keep supporting eachother. I'm still waiting for a full Epik High BTS collab though haha. I need to hear Tablo and Namjoon's bilingual lyrical talent on the same song as well as Tukutz and Yoongis producing.

I think you're overestimating YG and perhaps even Epik High. Tablo was left for dead by Woollim and was hated by Korea for a period of time before YG helped him out and signed him (and later on, Mithra and Tukutz). YG released Tablo's only solo album and Shoebox was one of the most successful albums of 2014. In fact, apart from "Fly", "Fan", and "Love Love Love", Epik High had some of their largest hits under YG ("It's Cold", "Born Hater", "Happen Ending", and "Love Story"). Epik High was also able to recover to the same heights they once had by going back on awards shows, YG Family concerts, touring, Tablo on Return of Superman and Dreaming Radio, etc. Epik High tried to run their own label years prior called Map the Soul Inc. but found it hard to manage. Even Tablo has gone on record saying how they were just signed to release 3 albums under YG and so they just fulfilled their contracts. I think Epik High simply wants to own a larger share of their profits and have more creative control which they can only truly accomplish by being independent.

Watch korean variety return of superman from ep 1, Tablo stars with his daughter haru and other celebrity dads & kids in korea. I discovered Epik High this way. Tablo has such an amazing and beautiful soul. This show is his return to tv due to a horrible false scandel that was proven ( wikipedia)and his recovery from being in a bad place.

As an ARMY who was in High Skool for many years before I found BTS, I just wanna thank you for recognizing Epik High as the huge influence and the driving force that they are, instead of just "the hip hop group Yoongi's friends with" or "the guys Yoongi produced a song for" or whatever. These three have been around for 18 years, put out multiple CLASSIC albums, have worked with all the Korean hip-hop/r&b big-hitters (and become big-hitters themselves), and have taken all the shit the industry could possibly throw at someone. BTS would not exist without them, in multiple very literal ways. Maybe this ramble seems super random to you lol, but idk, I get so tired of kpoppies talking about EH like they're nobodies when they are some of the most relevant somebodies in the music industry. Thank you! Hope you're loving their new EP (and all their old stuff too hehe)!

curvytangerine LOL Your comment does not seem random at all! I think these guys are probably responsible for a lot of artist even going in to music. I love that they have not only inspired other artists like BTS but have continued their own careers in the industry while mentoring and supporting those they have inspired. It is common for established artists to say “great that we inspired you now good luck” but these guys bring them in for collaborations and opportunities to make even more great music together. And I love that through these collaborations other fans can find artists we normally might not have. I am not a huge Koop fan but I absolutely love BTS, and because of them I have found Epik High and Drunken Tiger and others. Music truly does transcend language and opens so many possibilities. Sorry for my ramble. 💜😊☮️🤟🇺🇸

​ @curvytangerine I am also a fan of Epik High before BTS. Hearing that BTS were influenced by them is one of the many reasons I became a fan of BTS in the first place. Though their music is quite different I think I do hear some slight influences in their music from time to time (so does Namjoon... on a Vlive he said when he heard Epiphany the first time he thought it sounded like Epik High lol) . The connection has created a lot of new High Skools which I'm happy about :) Lets keep supporting good Korean music.

Yup you know that Epik High's 1st album was titled "Map of the Human Soul" so I think BTS was definitely inspired by them
