I like to believe the cloth wraps around vivia's body used to be a full shirt at some point, but over years of wearing it, it fell apart bit by bit until it was reduced to something more like bandages. But since getting new clothes would be a hassle he just figured out a way to make the outfit work somehow
This is why, we need another game of this until he completes all the mysteries around the world, and becomes the most greatest detective, and meets with Shinigami once again😭
I also wanted a sequel, but what could be the greatest mystery? Like, in this game, it wasn't only the truth behind Kanai Ward but behind the protagonist, too. Now we know all about the forgotten memories and stuff.
I can honestly see a sequel where Kurumi and Shinigami decide to work together. They never interacted in the game, and they both would have a similar goal. To find Yuma. So I can see Kurumi being a freelance detective with Shinigami in exchange for something. Like her Forte, her memories, even her immortality since Homunculus don't seem to age.
9:27 i know that crush is yuma 😏 10:23 YUMA KOKOHEAD!!! 13:38 LMAO HELP fubuki: be sure not to forget anything! **forgets her suitcase** 💀💀 14:15 the hot man is in the suitcase 20:49 BRO KURUMI CANONICALLY HAS FEELINGS FOR YUMA😭💖 21:17 SO REALL JUST CONFESS ALREADY PLSS EVEN DESUHIKO SHIPS IT LMAO 21:51 master detective and former number one of the wdo, and a homunculus informant, would indeed make a great team! (best ship ever idc what yall say) yuma (number1) still remembers the book of death so i hope he and shinigami might reunite in the next game😭😭
The utter tea kettle WHEEZE that came out of me when Vivia unzipped the suitcase lmao I really hope this game gets a sequel, maybe someone else finds the Book of Death and we can see Shinigami again, who knows! And even if it seems like a plot hole, I hope they can find a way to regain the zombified homunculi’s intelligence. I just wanna see Yakou again, he was an awesome character
It was good well it wasn't a dangaronpa game and it never should have be! From it's trailers I had already guess it wouldn't be like that and more like holmes games
I think, with enough research, someone can invent a method to kill homunculi permanently, with no chance of them coming back even as zombies. This could take the form of bullets tipped with a special chemical that can suppress their regenerative powers. It has happened before in other stories. For example, in Hakuouki, the Rasetsu (humans with enhanced strength, speed, and regeneration at the cost of their lifespan) are vulnerable to silver, which suppresses their regeneration. It's likely to happen because there will always be someone afraid of the idea of immortal humans.
Me too only the the gameplay that is the same and it’s still shocking that they use pink blood and make it into a plot and showing how danganronpa is not connected at all. I wish this game is more talk about a lot like how danganronpa did!
Yeah, I was expecting the ending to just crush me. Like everyone dies except Yuma. I'm happy it didn't end that way, cause I don't want to be crushed and Yuma has already suffered so luck in this game. So I'm glad we at leasr got a happy ending and Makoto got to redeem himself and is now accepting help.
Guys, why didn't anyone mention the fact that a whole city was massacred? Do not forget that there was also original Kurumi. From now when I see this homunculus Kurumi, my mind automatically imagines the original Kurumi being eaten in such a horrible and painful way. Despite the fact, all I can see from them is "we are homunculus? I can't believe this" or "those meat buns we ate are actually human flesh? Let's stop eating them". I would appreciate it if the game showed how the homunculus thought about the residents they devoured, like feeling guilty or remorse. I know lamenting about this won't revive those poor people, but please at least acknowledge their existences😢.
Well Kurumi will potentially be the protagonist next game, so maybe we'll get to see that in the sequel. They do most likely feel bad, but at least for the Epilogue probably not important to focus on that specifically, since we're not focusing on them but the current people in this game. Plus we've only really known the copies and not the real ones, even if they have the same memories. It's tragic, and maybe it'll be a focus more on with Kurumi next game, but I don't think it'd need to be focused on in the Epilogue. At least that's my opinion.
I imagine that her relationship with her grandfather will be explored, but thats for another game. Maybe one featuring a female protag that doesn't die at the start?
@@lavenderrose82I understand that this problem may be focused on in the sequel. But what I want to know is what they really think about the original people they killed. And why would they put all of this in the next game while this can be referred a little here? Two or three dialogues should be fine to me, but nope, they talked like the originals didn't exist (they might did feel guilty inside but as the game didn't show that, it's still the problem). Even when you say that it was because of their homunculus instinct, not from their own will, murder is murder, a serious crime. The inevitable tragedy of the lost innocent lives, I can accept that. But about ignoring what they've done, I can't. And I had thought killing three high school girls is the most traumatizing experience this game could give me, but well, ignoring the crime of the mass-murderers is even worse.
@@QuietMan-p4eHere's the thing. They had no sense of control when they were created, they didn't ask to be created and replace the citizens. What happened to the originals is truly horrifying, and that's exactly what this epilogue shows us. They're still not uses to the fact they're "monstrous homunculi", they're still processing it. Imagine if you were suddenly told you arent the real you. It is terrifying, yes, and you'd feel unimaginable guilt, but if you could have you would have stopped yourself. The fault lies on your creators for making you like this. All you can really do is either end your life, or pick up where the real you left off, be it as atonement or to not let the original's memory die and live on in their name.
@@QuietMan-p4e I imagine it is a very difficult thing for them to even comprehend. Put yourself in that position, you find out you're not yourself, but a perfect copy of yourself, and that it's not just you, but everyone you know. And not only that, but that you and everyone else were born into a blind rage that caused you to violently butcher and eat your originals despite the fact that you can't even remember what happened. To you, you and everyone else woke up in your half-destroyed home with a missing week of time now trapped in endless rain, and that you had just woken up from a mass slaughter you partook in. If it was me, even with the evidence of what you really are, I would find it hard to believe, that I'm not only me, but that I and everyone I know killed my original. It would be such an existential horrific horror to process. I can understand why they didn't focus on that revelation in this game, as the whole thing is worthy of its own game, and if we do get that game, I hope we get to see them learning the truth.
i don't think the implications of kurumi leaving the city paint that great of a picture, unless they find a way to stabilize her to make her body like makoto's there is a lot that can go wrong
It's explained in the Epilogue that she'll be using a special creme and raincoat that blocks out sun, so she should be relatively fine. I'm pretty sure Makoto wouldn't allow her to leave if she didn't have any means of protection from the sunlight. Not saying it'll be easy for Kurumi, she'll just have to be careful.
I think a Kurumi would be a nice protagonist if there's a sequel to Master Detective Archives, since we don't know much about her past before Kanai Ward gets isolated, it would be a nice mystery to solve. But I cannot imagine a game without Shinigami 💔
Kurumi could make a pact with shinigami to find Yuma. It be a good way to use the game mechanic, or envolve it to match an Informent skill set. Make it appear Shinigami ability can change base on the person she make a pact with.
@doctorwho3708 Make her the next Yuma and partner with Shinigami to be a freelance detective. Have a new rival be a corrupted detective from the WDA, trying to rise in the ranks and end it with the corrupt detective stealing the book of darkness to make a pact with another Shinigami to face Kurumi in the Mystery Labyrinth. While Yuma solves the mystery on the outside, backing up Kurumi without ever meeting them. Kurumi and Shinigami officially join the WDA. As for the price for the pact, maybe her immortality or her Forte, meaning she would have to rely on her own instincts for cases and get help from other detectives.
I dont get it if they could have formulated food to feed homonculi why was it not done earlier by makoto? Researching food aside from human flesh should have been his top priority. After all getting human bodies is incredibly hard. I would have liked it if there was proof that they were trying to peruse that line of research as were not making much headway.
I mean thinking about it logically, it was only because Makoto was backed into an ethical corner that he even considered it. All anyone knew was that the homunculus needed human meat, and as the kidnapping operation had gone largely uncontested there was never really a "need" for an alternative solution...in Makoto's eyes it was just another atrocity among many other atrocities he committed to protect Kanai Ward
Because Makoto tried to find the perfect solution all on his own! If he had trusted the people with the truth they could have helped, and so they did in the end when they learned the truth.
He also had his hands full with the Peacekeepers - Yomi was getting increasingly more hostile and aggressive and it was definitely interfering with Makoto's ability to discover a way to sustain the homunculi without the need of cannibalism.
my answer is they just put human flesh in the ramen now. The fact that it so specifically mentions human flesh for DNA reasons makes me think that its not a nutritional issue. They never discuss what happens to the restricted area.
@user-br3oe1lc5y I'm pretty sure the restricted area just stays the same, until they can find some way to fix the defective homunculi and bring them back to normal. They explain in the scene with real Yuma that he found an alternative solution to the meat beans taste. So he most likely uses an ingredient that is similar to human flesh, but isn't human flesh. If there was human flesh in the Ramen, that'd defeat the purpose of closing the meat bun shops down and the Ramen being the new alternative with using dead people.
7:02 That mean they overcome the reason they need those in the first place? That aside they would likely make another game where yomi hellsmile would cause problems.
my friend finished the epilogue yesterday; im glad we both felt sad about everyone saying goodbye to chief yakou, and that we're both really looking forward to a sequal
When we do get a sequel I would like Kurumi to be our protagonist. Shinigami obviously will return but she needs a straight man to balance her antics and Kurumi definitely can fill that role in a way different from Yuma. This duo does write itself, both are opposites and infatuated with Yuma thus will be butting heads throughout the game but will need to work together to find Yuma. And it’s a Shinigami and homunculus, that’s a powerful duo
My biggest gripe with this is how peaceful the ending is. The hero kills the culprits and he goes away clean. The ceo has been feeding people, people. He's been kidnapping people to feed them yet somehow he's still able to negotiate letting his people travel freely?
I mean, he still had a mountain full of dirt on the UG. And I don’t think they have a way to kill homunculi yet, so they really have a choice of either going to war with Amaterasu corp with their undead army, or just let them live in peace.
@@kokichishares5965 They do have a way to kill them. They can still starve and they rot in the sun. UG even with the ton of dirt, i cant imagine they would let zpmbies roam freely. contained in a city, their original plan, actually made sense. letting them go wild with a little sun tan lotion is insane
Well the UG is at fault there and Makoto stopped the whole Homunculus research. They were gonna be made as immortal soldiers. So it's either beings who didn't choose to be made or death rows. But now the meat buns problem is over. As for the criminals that Yuma killed. Since they got revived (albeit with lack of memories), it leaves a hope that maybe, somehow, they could still be fully revived or something. Theyre immortal after all.
I feel like there's one more mystery or maybe I just didn't understand. On the train there was supposed to be 5 detectives and maybe it was the real Yuma but he said he came at the last moment so they didn't know he was there so who was the extra? Was it really the MC Yuma?
@@29Blockhead One trainee was also meant to board the Amaterasu Express. Until we found out it was "Yuma's" stalker, the real Yuma, anyone would assume our Yuma was the trainee
Really didnt like the ending. Yuma strives to make everyone happy by solving all the mysteries the World has to offer yet ignores the happiness of shinigami and kurumi who would be happy to just stay by his side and spent as much time as possible with him until his eventual death since hes the only non immortal. Would have loved especially for shinigami to have a happy ending and not be alone in that book again.
