I noticed that you also tie your straps to the headstock just like John did when he was in the early years of the Beatles. That’s a subtle nod and I love it hahaha
Prior to watching this I was watching a video made by a couple of guitar techs in a music shop. They said the guitar straight out of the box needs the saddle size reducing for best playability and for the sweetness tones. Obviously full credit to you your guitar sounds really nice straight out of the box. I play the epiphone dove and the jumbo ej200-sce /vs. I often regret not picking up this guitar a couple of years ago, a used model that had beautiful tones.
i’m so happy with this guitar, no complaints at all, but i’m sure once i play some nice martin i’ll be able to hear the difference, i don’t use the pickup often, but it provides a super unique tone none of my electric guitars can get
I recently ordered a Chinese knockoff of a Gibson version Hopefully it sounds like this I'm still waiting for it to arrive due to quarantine I plan to review mine soon
@@jawnlemon885 sorry for the late reply I ended up dropping it whilst playing it electrically It's great acoustically I never repaired the output jack I still plug it in from time to time sounds exactly like this guitar although I wish the body looked more like this and was painted sunburst through out the whole guitar
@@JamesMcCarthy17 sadly the seller is gone but you can find some if you look up j160e copy although its kind of a roulette to see if you get the guitar or if its a scam
@@TheLogFella 100% sure its a VS, Tobacco sunburst is having the black on the sides while VS is where there is only a small part with a burst where black is nearly devouring the guitar
I bought an early one with John's signature above the the neck , it's HORRIBLE ! Neck has a back bow , binding along the neck is all cracked where they never trimmed or dressed the frets , the pickup is noisy , hums terrible . I got a $500 wall hanger ! Good Luck with yours .
@@Beatleman76 and also did it come on stock strings? If not what strings did you use for the ej160e I’m trying to get one cause I’m a beatle fan and I’m young and I hate high action guitars lmao
@@justink7298 It did come with regular acoustic guitar strings but the type of strings I use are Martin retro's 11s, this type of guitar requires nickel strings. Some people put flatwound strings but I don't like the sound of it.
