Epiphone Prophecy V vs. LTD Arrow 1000!

What I like about Fishman Fluence Pickups is a ton of sustain.

Just ordered myself the red Ltd. Should be in my hands in a couple days. Just fyi it is a floyd rose 1000SE. I believe the “SE” stands for special edition. It has stainless steel screws and whatnot.

I knew before you got going you would like the ESP , which is cool , however I have been lucky enough to take ownership of 2 V's from Epiphone a 58 reissue & a prophecy both of them are awesome in their own right, anyway I hope you enjoy the LTD it's a little bit more pointy than I would like that said I have a Rhodes V that stabs me in the nuts every time I play it ,so thank you for the review flat necks are very cool , cheers Tony

I really want one of the LTDs. I tried out the kramer Mustaine V and was disappointed in the upper fret access. This looks like a much better option! Love the Nadja and Laszlo shirt too.

So i just got the red LTD Arrow and it's amazing! Looking for a case now. Looks like i need the ESP Alexi case. Expensive, but i want to protect this thing.

Between those two I believe I would have chosen the same BUT!!!, I own the Epuphone Prophecy Extura (Explorer) with Fishmans and it's an absolute monster. Not 100% why the pinched harmonics are an issue as mine just screams. The LTD is IMO the superior guitar if you like a trem. If the Floyd wasn't important then I would save the difference, keep the Epiphone, and rock on. I do love some EMGs and have them installed in another guitar and, although different from a set of fishmans, they are still bad ass. Anyways, good comparison video. Bravo

I’m about to buy myself an arrow but not sure if in blue andromeda or in candy apple red. Any suggestions, from any one? How does the glossy finish compare to the satin one?

You really should think about getting a Floyd, Rose FRX and getting another Epiphone prophecy and put it on there. It requires zero routing you could do it yourself and it’s an amazing Floyd system.

To me as a new guitar player, I would assume the radius gives you a pretty good picture of what the shape of the neck will feel like if we assume the fretboards generally have the same width

The Floyd and other factors have everything to do with PITCH Harmonics as well as string gauge and picks . my experience with FR , and tuning, The FR equipped guitars Almost always make for little effort to get the the harmonics . Fun and knowing when And how to play them makes riffage stand out in a wonderful way, good video 😊

You could see if a Floyd Rose FRX or Stetsbar would mount to the Epiphone. Both are top mounted trems that require no routing of the guitar

The thing that you can do on the Epiphone though is, it’s the same bridge type and neck headstock profile as a Les Paul or an SG which means you can actually install the Floyd Rose FRX on that guitar, which is a much better Floyd Rose type of Trello, then the standard Floyd rose because it has the ability to be locked into place to where, even if the guitar breaks the string, it doesn’t go out of tunealso allowing you to build to drop D on the on the guitar with the Floyd Rose I’m fixing to buy the phone and buy rose and put it on making it the ultimate shred machine

Working up just a bit of a sweat also helps with the Prophecy neck dive lmfao For harmonics on the Proph i think slapping some EB’s on there helps, personally ive never had issue with harmonics on that guitar if anything its easier imo but i do know when i got it setup, the tech put NYXL’s on there and i felt it and heard it immediately so i just switched them to EB 9’s and problem solved. Theres this thing called the Floyd FRX its basically a top mounted floyd rose as opposed to routed and im certain the prophecy can handle it but then again it wouldve been cooler if it just came with one but is ai. I personally chose the Prophecy bc of that classic Gibson V shape WITH 24 frets, also yea the pickups are freakin amazing and the different voicings work flawlessly for me. Also i personally felt the neck was pretty slim and easy to grasp i didnt feel it too thick so my hands feel hella comfortable THEN AGAIN ive spent most of my life playing Ibanez guitars so idk maybe thats why i find the neck to be perfectly fine. Other than that my only real gripe is the neck dive, but after 10-15 min of playing i get a lil moist and the strap is able to grip my shoulder.

You can add a Floyd Rose FRX to the Epi with no routing, but it is an expensive upgrade at around $300!
