Changes coming to Genie+, Nick's Disney Cruise, and a Tiana's Bayou Adventure discussion

From the UK and the new Genie system is rough. You can’t rebook if outside of the US. We save for 2+ years to visit with no other vacations/ holidays and it feels really unfair. We drop A LOT of money on our visits and really hope it’s rolled out to everyone! Fingers crossed!

I really enjoy Tim and Nick together & I also really enjoy Tim and Adam the Woo together but for the life of me I can NOT imagine Nick and Adam the Woo together, not for a second. I agree! Ice skating and the holidays do go hand in hand! I felt it was interesting to hear Floridians feel that way too, I didn’t expect that. it is a popular winter pastime in the northern states.

Thanks to the drop on Hagrid I wasn't completely caught off guard that a track can do that. So when we went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg I had the realization of what was going to happen right before the track dropped out on Verbolten. 😮‍💨😅

If you want to do a longer cruise there's always the trans-pacific cruise to or from Australia!

My kid is 16, and they still do the eat every day/never eat a day thing! Pancake hint (because we went through that too) - cook up a batch and freeze individually or in small stacks. Microwave a minute or so, and they are just like fresh!

Flea World was just in the news. I think they were talking about finally selling the land and getting proposals for building. Could be wrong, but they were talking about it. Can't miss the name Flea World. lol

Went on the Dream(in 2021) & on the Wish(in 2023) and we LOVE the Rain Forest room! Personally, we preferred the one on the Wish than the one on the Dream since it has the outdoor area, which is absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't do the length of cruise package, but the 1 day pass is good.

Yeehaw junction has a hidden gem (very similar to Fort Wilderness), which is Westgate River Ranch & Rodeo. Tim and Jen have been there before, which is why we ended up going during covid. We've been about 10 times, love it. Nick you and the family will love it. For Tim and everyone, you can rent an RV (also bring your golf cart if you want) through River Ranch (Not through Westgate).

What if a ride gets shut down for work or weather. how will that work?

I love the Magic and The Wonder disney cruises. We just got back from Alaska on The Wonder. We have done The Magic and the Wonder out of Galveston. I just love the small ships because there is less crowds and less walking!

The Magic was our 1st cruise ship we sailed and love it. There is something “magic” or classic about it that we enjoy. We recently sailed on the Dream and they had the churro waffles on a sea day.

So here’s my quandary with the ride selection system changing July 24th. I’m a Passholder from Pensacola, Florida headed for a trip July 20th & staying at Pop.I will be there until the 28th. I have no idea how this will affect my trip. I will use Genie Plus for the 1st couple of days if the parks are really busy. I don’t know if I will be able to begin purchasing & booking 7 days prior to the 24th for the new system. Or, will I not be able to purchase & utilize until that morning? I never thought I’d say I will miss Genie Plus. Starting all over with a new system when there’s no videos of it to watch before my trip to understand how it works is stressful. I felt like a Genie Pro. RIP Genie Plus. Maybe I should take this learning opportunity to make my own informational video of the revised system.

Kids are like that🤣they will eat something for EVERY meal & then be like NOPE I don't like that! Don't take it personally fellas! It's part of being a parent...just be patient with the kiddos & it will pass(hopefully).

I am so sad to hear about the nutella fruit waffle going away from Sleepy Hollow. 😢 It was my go-to breakfast on MK days! Anyway, one thing that I'm interested in seeing from when you visit using the new Lightning Lane system is whether you can modify those advance reservations, or if you could modify them at the park to get a possibly earlier time to make it easier to stack them. Some people are getting extra DAS family members on a pass IF it’s extra minor children, but that’s up to the approval of the person you speak to. This is where a lot of people used to abuse the system and bring parties of 15+.

The fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow was my favorite! I’m hoping if enough us complain they will bring it back. It was a must get whenever I’m at MK. I make them at home when I need a Disney day.

Went to Epcots After Hours party June 6th and was able to ride Guardians 3X’s in row…..couldn’t believe none of us got sick. After the 3rd time though we decided to go on something else.

Agree. Waffles 1 (they can hold the butter the best), pancakes 2 (absorb the butter and can be topped however. french toast, i can live without, they are good, but if I have the other two I'm good.

Easy to book outside the US, just use a VPN and set it to the US. Had to do that for a lot of special events booked through the Disney website. Seems odd to me that the US still uses travel agents.

I went on a 3 night Disney wish cruise and requested churro waffles with my server at dinner and they had them made for us at breakfast the next day. I think they usually have the churro waffles on the longer cruises on all ships.

When the Charlie’s Angels sequel came out we were saw it at Festival Bay. We saw a guy that was breaking into cars in the parking lot get tased by the cops! 😳 That’s my Festival Bay story! 🎉

Tim- funny you say that about the tilt-a-whirl at Flea World. I used to live near there and took my visiting relatives and we went on that quite a few times. I'm never affected by spinning rides but that one made me feel like I was going to be ill. Thanks for sharing because it may be the ride and not me..hehe😂😂

We went the first night to jollywood with my family and it was definitely just not it lol we will absolutely be trying again this year though! The first night of a new event like that is always going to not be great haha so we were left pretty disappointed too
