It's so not fair how Pheonix is considered an ensemble role and therefore doesn't have his own dressing room, can't get nominated for a Tony, etc. Pheonix is totally a supporting role. He plays a huge part in the story and has multiple songs
I know its a bit niche, but it would be really funny if they continued the story line of Derek's dad being Santa, especially with it starting to be holiday season!
It has a lot of storylines! (There are spoilers in my comment, just letting you know :) )It has some triggering topics, such as r*pe, addiction and mispronounciation... It's about a family, the Healy's, and they're all struggling in life. MJ, the mom, is addicted to her painkillers. Frankie, the daughter, is struggling with the relationship with her mom. Jo, Frankie's girlfriend, is dealing with her mom who's not accepting of her being more male than female. Nick, the son, is struggling with being the 'Perfect' kid, as he's feeling a lot of pressure from his mom. He also deals with the fact that he saw his best friend Bella getting r*ped at a party, so he and especially Bella are dealing with that horrible event. Steve, the dad, is having a difficult time being in a relationship with MJ. In short: a lot of day to day topics are being discussed, like racism and sexuality... It is SUCH a beautiful story 🥺 Hope this helped! (I know, it's a very long comment, but gosh... this musical has such a special place in my heart) 💓
Kaitlyn Burch i agree. I go to this camp and it’s amazing bc everyone always introduces themselves with their names and pronouns. Like if you run into someone you don’t know you’re like hi! I’m __ and my pronouns are __ which is great. And because I always introduce myself with my pronouns my cis friends have grown to introduce themselves with their pronouns too and it’s great.
