Hey Blake.. will you keep us in your thoughts and prayers.. I'm just now sharing this but my daughter had the baby. Her uterus tore. And mom and baby are in critical condition.... My little new grandson is on life support... I just have to ask every where I can.. I'm trying my best as I sit here in the hospital to stay positive.. much love my friend!

@@annalee7403 thank you so much Annalee... I was hesitant to put my personal business on RU-vid or any social media... But I've never faced anything like this before.. and I just reached out to anybody that might see my comments to keep us in their thoughts and prayers!! So many people have been so supportive during these hard times! I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! This little baby is still on life support but he is still fighting. doctors don't offer much hope. We put it all in God's hands and he is the great physician! Anything is possible! I pray that he will wake up and be with the family that loves him.. the only way I've gotten through this is through all these channels. It just goes to show even when you don't know the person that may be watching you... you may be brightening up their day.. and this is one of those channels for me.Blake is an amazing young man.. I think he's going to go far in this hobby! Thank you so much again, much love!!

These fish are delightful. Amazing colours, and a good sized group will mean continuous displays from the males. And a good sized group is within reach of the average aquarist because the small size of these fish means that you don't need a huge aquarium. The only drawback I have? Availability... I've only ever seen a couple of species locally - I would love to get some Spotted Blue Eyes, but I've never found any in my area.

Have seen them available online at flip aquatics and aquatic arts. Just got some blue eyed red rainbows from aquatic arts and they’re beautiful. Got them as juveniles so has been fun watching them grow. Wish I could find more species available in the USA but with time I’m sure it’ll happen as they are gorgeous. Who wouldn’t want to keep them?

So tetras are colorful and have a nice schooling habitat but these guys, omg theyre even better. They are colorful, schooling but its their behavior. Im more fond of small fish with interesting behavior. Theyre very "playful". Makes it even more interesting to have these in the fish tank.

Hey Blake, I keep rewinding but I'm just not able to understand the url that you mention of a website in which there is more information regarding these fish. I would very much like to take a look. I'm surprised that it's not in your episode notes. You mention it at :56 seconds into your video. Much obliged.

Not sure how far away you are from the Northern Territory but it would be sweet if you could coordinate with Dave Wilson from Aquagreen in I believe Darwin, NT. A tour or video of some sort would be awesome. He has an undescribed tenellus species from Bloodwood lagoon and an undescribed species of Melanotaenia from Alligator River as well as having Melanotaenia Wilsonii named after him 🙂

Very interesting species of fish. They do resemble Mullet or even flying fish; reminds me of hatchet fish. Do they jump often?

@@BlakesAquatics Thanks for the reply. I'm starting to doubt that i have paskai though; mine look very much like luminatus. When I look at photos on the net they really look alike and it seems other people have difficulties determining the species as well. Can you give me some tips on how I can tell the two species apart please?

@@BlakesAquatics thanks. It's Luminatus then. I knew there was something fishy (pun intended) about the naming my local aquarium store uses.
