Our 100th episode of RV that Bus - can you believe it? We purchased our bus in December 2020 and here we are 18 months later nearly complete with our build. This video is a montage that will show you our build. We will probably never be done always finding things to make it better. We are enjoying trips and having a great time! Thanks for following our journey!

Impressive! Watching videos for a year or two now. Having a prevost in my driveway and procrastinating. I’m inspired by you! Thank you

You VERY SERIOUSLY have a lot of talent. Beautiful, but not just from a distance, looks to be done to a high level of perfection. Congratulations!

Loved the video look back! My favorite of your videos i think. Didn't understand how you did some parts of it, like the walls but this helped that. Don't love the rooftop AC units but i guess that's an easy change later if you decide to go to heat pumps. Also we found our floors to be a bit soft and installed 3/4 Russian birch plywood which made them now incredibly solid. The factory floor is only 1/2" softwood plywood. Anyway terrific build guys. Also liked the window treatments. Was nice to see you both working together too.

Looking back we probably could have done the floors but after inspecting here there and everywhere we had 0 rot. the bus while 20 years old only has 140k on it and its been a california bus its entire life. we have no soft spots. If I were to do it again I'd probably go 3/4 as well just to say I did it. But as we all know, 1/2 here, 1/2 there... next thing you know im hitting my head on the roof.

@@ka0tyk yeah i hear you about the height thing. I wish I had done furring strips on ceiling like you did. I didn't allow for wiring chase for lights, was only thing I wasn't able to hide so far. What's your plans for the top of exterior walls, crown trim?
@ka0tyk
@ka0tyk 2 года назад
@@nbarnard whoops missed this response. yeah we have some "caps" that we plan to cover the corners with that match the ceiling shiplap but are more of like a 2x4. They'll have some angles cut into them to recess into that little groove. We have been holding off as we're pretty new still with our build and changing/adding things. Like adding exterior lights requiring a 12v run the whole length of the bus and holes to the exterior. I also purchased an exterior multi camera setup so that too will require a like 60' run of cable for the rear camera.

Amazing. We just started our 1997 Prevost conversion. Question. Did you remove all the old insulation from both the walls and ceiling?

Congratulation on your project. Did you have a video about total cost of your project, and would you do it again?
@RVthatBus
@RVthatBus 2 года назад
Yes we would definitely do it again!!! COVID made things tough especially given our 6 month build time constraint. Everyone’s budget will be different based on their needs and material preferences. We didn’t make a video about the cost and don’t plan to.

Love the work you've done. I'm sure you feel immensely satisfied with the output. We bought a 2005 MCI J4500 and are just starting the conversion. We're in SoCal and would truly appreciate any insight you might have. Is there a way we can connect?
