The new hero of Combat Approved is the fourth-generation nuclear-powered submarine Kazan of the Yasen-M project. This submarine has just been launched, but western experts have already called it the most dangerous one in the entire Russian navy and one of the most armed in the world. There is no other submarine in the world with such a spectrum of the newest weapons: these are supersonic rockets Oniks, self-guided torpedoes, smart mines, and the newest system of radio-electronic warfare. Besides, the Kazan is the first submarine in the Russian navy built not of two hulls (internal and external) as it used to be but of one hull. What does it provide for? This is what Combat Approve will find out. The film crew of the program will be the first who have been allowed on the secret production of the Yasen. The journalists will visit the production of precision weapons and the cruiser itself, will tell what welding explosion is, will show the first open test of a new torpedo and, finally, show rare footage of almost exquisite operation of launching the submarine.
