Thank you so much for all effort providing most valuable in-depth information in F&O. I am looking out for F&O Interview Q&A, if you could help me that would be Great.
i always confused with dimension based configuration option now its clear thank you yasar waiting for master planning series hope it will be in your pending list.
Very Insightful! I have a question on Microsoft learning it says Dimension based config works with other variants such as color, style etc. But when i try to create new bom system asks me color or style but I couldn’t specify them in that form.
I believe you can activate more product dimension to the product dimension group, such as colour and size, however the config dimension should also be part of the group if you're trying to setup a dimension-based configuration technology. Using the example from the video, you may want to have a standard/premium car in different colours, other than just red.....Consequently in the BOM you also define a paint colour and a config group to specify the possible colours.
Thanks for the answer but I tried what you mentioned. Imagine that you have Color: Red-Blue and Config: Std-Premium. I have one global BOM and we will release BOMs based on this BOM. I can configure only configuration with configuration group and rule. But color still does not exist. I am not able to select color on BOM (If I could do it, I d select colors on bom as red and blue and configure my Boms) because variant combinations of color and config should be released and also there is no field under "Configure" button like "Color". I hope I could explain my issue.
