True.n I hv worked for a bank n as she was speaking she has absolutely no idea wat she put through the banking consultants tht gave her the loan. Thy had to under go investigation, dnt work while the investigation is going on . .. plus there's always a high chance u will be blacklisted to work at any bank after this. After one is proof not guilty after 6mnths of suspension thy literally resign due to stigma attached n truma
Doing well guys! 👏🏾🤝🏾 In future, please start the interview with the guest's history so that we get a proper sense of who she is and what her life was like before prison. Then move onto the story of how they committed the crime. Tell the story & don't leave anything out. Friendly tip: Have a look at how the likes of David Mashabela, Mapaseka Mokwele & even McG conduct interviews for some inspiration. ✌🏾❤️
But he is not David, Mapaseka nor MacG. If he would do that, then why is he doing it because those people are there? Remember again, this podcast is the same as others. Plus, we can't expect people to tell us everything as though thina we tell people everything. The fact that we haven't been arrested, it doesn't mean we are innocent. If someone would do a podcast and call it ,"LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I DID." I doubt some will go and tell us how they got jobs, how they got married for so long, how they got their businesses. So please 🙏 let's cut them some sleg 🙏
@@jnr4166 I don't think you understood what I said at all... I am encouraging the interviewer to allow the guest to tell their story in full so that the audience doesn't keep asking for more details as you have seen in the comments. That is the very reason why these people have come onto this platform. To TELL THEIR STORY To share. Nothing is private at this point and it doesn't serve a purpose to "tell a story" & leave out the details which make the story. I also didn't suggest that he should copy the interviewing style of those people. I said he should look at them and draw inspiration from HOW they conduct interviews. They are good at their jobs which is why they're popular and respected. It makes sense to draw inspiration from people who have experience doing what you're still learning how to do. This interviewer is not a broadcaster. He is still learning and we must allow him the space. But part of that learning for him should include research and watching how other people do it is part of that research.
@@jnr4166...loool thank you.. literally took those words out of my head word by word, this is a different wave don't disturb it with MacG'z podcast chill chill chiller 😂
I’m appalled 😳…. After ruining people’s lives she comes here and has the audacity to say people get joy when someone goes to jail” sies “ the sense of entitlement… tuned off… immediately
I think she meant to say that we should consider all the options when an offender is found guilty of an offense. When young people are convicted there's still the possibility that they may be rehabilitated but prison doesn't really provide that opportunity for rehabilitation. I think she was trying to say that if there is some other way to punish such an offender while rehabilitating them so that they'll become better people and come back to contribute to society, that should be explored.
Mel is not remorseful, she just sad that she didn't have proper representation in court. I find her to be deflecting a lot and I think she might repeat the same mistakes again.
This lady did not just say that people you have wronged are happy. She does not know that being a victim is prison itself, emotions are kept in prison, anxiety. She is not showing remorse
"I was 21, I was young" nah, babes knew exactly what she was doing and for her to expect the victims to feel sorry for her when she gets sentenced? Haih bandla.
it happened to me there is a lady out there with a fake ID book that has my id number. opening clothing accounts, cellphone contracts and withdrawing money from Game stores, I've been up and down, going to police station making affidavits, registering with transunion and SAFPS. Its not young people who are doing fraud. They don't care how many lives they damage, they are selfish. They only stop when they are caught.
@@khungekahangana8878 I really have a problem with her non chalant lack of accountability several times she tried to shift blame or talk about being the “mule” not the brain . She fucked up a lot of lives it’s not right
Perhaps im overthinking but this woman is not remorseful also when she spoke about down on being receptionist like she was owed something bigger that time there's graduates struggling to get jobs yena she has a criminal record.
I met this woman in 2017 when I was in primary school. We went on an excursion to kgosi mampuru prison and we had a one one conversation with her. Such a beautiful soul and I'm glad to see her on the podcast ❤
Iyashoda maan le interview. I wish she told us how she met the partner, how did he exactly introduce him to crime. What happened when she was now in prison
Identify theft will leave the victim traumatized for life, with trust issues and so much anger. It can change your innocent heart uze ufune nokubulala ama perpetrators. I have been a victim of this multiple times, more than 5 times. I am glad ukuthi uSisi has changed her, she doesn't deserve to be judged since she served her time for this. Thanks for sharing.
Nandipha magudumane lite😅mara baby girl at 21st, you're not a kid...but anyway may you find peace dadwethu and don't expect people to feel sorry for you ❤
I'm ambivalent about feeling sorry for her or not. Last year my elderly mother 82 years old was a victim of bank scammers. They tricked her and cleaned out her account about R70k. She has a heart condition and was operated. I've prayed deep prayers that the worst calamity befalls these criminals. There's no insurance or ABSA bank that paid her back because they say she consented. These criminals are sleek and probably use muthi. So dear Meldah, your incarceration is nothing compared to what the victims of crime go through😢
To all abo Skeem, Let us not forget to click click click click the subscription button!! Thank you 🙏🏾 for your loyalty to the Skeem GP Foundation Podcast 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Meldah please do not think that it is okay to do someone wrong and still get remorse from the very same person. You must be seen to be remorseful and understand the wrath of the lives you ruined.
same here.. I'm bored. Skeem le yana. He was supposed to ask her how was she introduced to the life, what happened the day she was arrested , Her jail experience as a yellow bone. She said a lot of useless things. Pride Pride
Does she even have an idea how difficult it is for the victims to buy a jean KO Mr price on credit once your name is flagged for Identity theft. Your life is over as the victim.
I was once a victim of identity fraud still today it takes long for me to get credit approval because of scammers.I sense no remorse from the guest which is really sad cause iam sho her victims are still suffering.
The interview is not properly structured, we still dont understand who she is, how she got into crime, what she did exactly, who she worked with and where are they now, and how was prison life??? Like its so difficult to watch when the story is all over the place.
Next time please start the interview with the guests history then move onto the interview questions and why they got arrested. We're confused in the beginning as viewers.
It is so useless to have guests like this lady who are not open enough with type of crime they committed. If she can't tell the story then no need to be a guest, we need to educate, inform and discouraging the young ones by giving full information.
She doesn't take full responsibility for what she did, 51% chances are that she's likely to be a repeat offender. Extremely bitter that mastermind did not do time and according to her, because he had/has money. To date, she doesn't take a look at herself but thinks about mastermind who dumped her, her pregnancy and had no care in the world about their child.
I don't understand why she wants to act like she was a victim. Take full responsibility for the crimes you committed. Don't blame it on anything. Heck own up to it
I would like to know if she ever apologised to the people whose identity she stole? The people whose credit history was messed up because of her crime. What is she doing to help those people?
Ma'am going to prison for a crime you committed is not a downfall its called be held to account for your actions. I feel you not rehabilitated and not remorseful but karma is knows your address. Thanks to the host for educating her coz honestly she sounds like she looks. But you not reformed.
wow such a touching story i have a brother who was sentenced 15 his my worst enemy he put me in mental health hospital very manupulative and feel like the world owes him i am so proud of you dear
I like this podcast, but constructively so I feel like that sometimes it doesn't have chronology. Like how someone grew up, the space in life they were in when the crime happened, how they got caught then finally their experiences in prison and after prison. I don't mean this in a bad way but sometimes it jumps from one unrelated event to the other such that you get lost.
It's not confidence, it's false ego . Had she had confidence, she would have not been easy to manipulate. If you listen carefully, she was groomed during pillow talk which is followed by sex. Confident people are not easy to appoach and have many questions and as such, can't be controlled.
The lady could possibly have been working with ma 419 scammers to commit fraud at the bank . 😮she is not revealing too much information, and treads carefully about identifying those who have been telling her that she can do the fraudulent activity because banks have insurance. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain her victims went through and are still going through. Not remorseful 😢
I'm very sorry, but this lady sounds very shallow mentally and seems to enjoy the spotlight. I don't see that ger rehabilitated. She feels entitled, and the government was unfair
Imagine victimizing and ruining people's lives and having the audacity to tell them how they should or shouldn't feel when a criminal is being sentenced! I lost all respect for this lady, she obviously still doesn't understand the extent of her crime despite having served time for it.
I got that sense too, there's no accountability. She says if she had money, she wouldn't have been sentenced. What about the victims whose lives she stole?
Listening is a skill!!!!!! She said “I felt like it was not my fault coz there was a mastermind” “but I had to be convicted coz I committed the crime” Yooh Nina fundani ukumamela
@@b_mandisa8560 Uyanya perhaps in most crimes people work as a group so there's no such thing. She knew what she was doing mastermind or not she committed a crime the blame game won't make her not to be a criminal. She was not forced. No remorse whatsoever.
@@suezennyoni4368 she ruined those people s lives, her doing prison time did not fix the problems she created for them. She owes them a bit of sympathy not to brag like it was no big deal
I truly feel like Sis she’s not really telling us her Story.. what were you arrested for how many crimes you committed etc.., she really needs to open up no one will judge her.. looking forward for part 2 ✌🏻
I beg to differ...I think she is just a confident and eloquent speaker and she stands on her truth and not ashamed to speak her truth with utter confidence.
This is what kills our society..The mindset of "I am a first offender therefore I deserve not to be punishable" or Justice Favour those who have Money..Mel doesn't show any remorse at all, Honesty Skeem this was a Bad episode.. it's giving Nonsensical Privilege🙄🚮
Skeem this episode man, yes she was young but this is crime and i feel sorry for the victims that has and still suffering because of this act.I don't think this lady realized that her focus is more on herself.( Me, me, me ) and it's spirit on top of the wounds. Thanx to you Themba but today your questions did not gave the lady a chance to tell us the details of her crime remember we are learning here .May God help the victims and u Melda
This lady doesn't show remorse. She's not yet rehabilitated. What does she mean she was young at 21 years? That age in society is dangerous. Those are killers, robbers, get rich or die trying age. There's no collateral damage in decisions you take, crime is crime Theres no justification to that. She needs to change her attitude otherwise she's not inspiring.
God did best for you mina I did many bad things and I went in many prison with different crimes and I was only serving minimum sentences and wazi ukuthi it's more dangerous than maximum prison and since I've changed I'm suffering worse than I was a criminal I stop doing crime and going to prison in 2013 and I quit drugs last but still no job life is very tough outside world😢
Skeem, I wish you had asked her about her experience in both prisons as an inmate. she did not give mu details and the kind of treatment she got inside as a first time offender, but otherwise she is a beautiful intelligent lady.❤
Pretty privilege really is a thing. I'm just thinking of the number of admin graduates who are struggling to find jobs, who even commit suicide because there's no breakthrough but yeah... Such is life I guess.
Interesting skeem. After the interview, some of us feel we still dont know her. We would have liked to know how she met the BF, how she did the crime, hiw she was caught. All that is a blur... Anyways good platform
Hayi uphambene nyani u Melda, if someone is a rapists people should sit down and talk hayi uphambene. What school qualification does she have lona. Why would she want leniency but she has done people wrong. I see why people are saying she thinks she was wronged
shame... I so wish she went more into details on how she got into jail the bf story... and what happened to they relationship... I think this might give more insight to young ladies who do things because they want to be loved....
Spending time with ex-offenders, offering support, knowledge & skills while also amplifying their hearts cries for 2nd chance, really got me to walk in their shoes because I've had to connect with them & I must say there is so much left unsaid with how strong you have to be to find yourself (post your sentence) knocking at society for a 2nd chance to live a new & honest life...Which is why I feel organizations & podcasts such as these should be an anchor to reach out, inform & touch the hearts of the ordinary people in society because "society" alone plays a vital role & without their support one starts to feel like everything they've done to get to where they are was all in vain. I'm not imposing my values or beliefs on others but feel that members in society with a heart deep enough should help play a role & do a more human thing to do...Let us as society play our part & stop being the leading cause of seeing increasing numbers of re-offenders & seeing ex-offenders committing suicide post serving their sentences simply because we makes it hard for them to successfully re-intergrate even after they have acknowledged, were held accountable & paid for their wrong doings to society.
Take somebody's I D and take a loan and that person must be forced to pay back the money she never asked for. Ay maybe others are dead because of stress. Wish you could find those people and go and apologize. I am crying as you speak.
she really lost me. aiy... kanti ufunani ugirl? after crime she says ppl shld not be sentenced there are many ways to correct a person. wtf she talking abt? hai nor
I feel absolutely no pity for this fraudster!!! She ruined so many people's lives & honestly she is more concern about herself than the damage she did. Not a fan of this podcast ...Skeem can you please stop giving offenders a platform to put salt onto the wounds of the aggrieved. Can she focus on advising us honest folks on how to protect ourselves from scammers like her!!!
I think they are right. Skeem talks A LOT! He needs to learn to be more of a listener when he is interviewing other people. It takes him too long to ask questions even, because he always has something to say... His own opinions must come through. I like him. I like this podcast also, but he has a lot of learning to do still.
This was a great interview and i guess as people we have different perspectives so I understand how other people are feeling about this and it's fine. 😊
