I enjoy her auction group. 24 hours is the perfect amount of time to sell or buy. Only need a 24 hour attention span.

@@ConsignmentChats the groups I know of either have an antique store or used to, and sell items from their stores or that they've picked up via fb. Thanks for adding me btw! I appreciate being allowed to check things out. You are SO creative! I did end up setting up a group. The first thing I'll end up running will be those workout DVDs 😁😂

We have one in my town and it’s awesome lots of curb side pick up. or we drop off items after people pay by e transfer. I’m in Kirkland Lake Ontario Canada

OK, this is amazing… I live in Michigan near Detroit and I would love to do this for my area. I recently lost my job and have lots of time on my hands as well as items to sell. I think this would be a great idea to morph into a business for myself. Would anyone be interested in communicating with me to make sure that I set this up properly. Hi Samantha my husband and I sell liquidation/overstock items on fb marketplace right now. Do you have any advice as to how we can add auctioning to our group or do we need a totally separate group?

Hello Pam! I think auctions can be added to any group you admin as long as the rules are clearly posted and enforced. Creating a separate group takes work and time to build. If you have already built an audience and think they would respond to this type of selling - go for it! ~Samantha

Question: can you do auctions on your business page that’s public

You absolutely can. Things to consider: 1) Does your ideal customer for that page like auctions? 2) Make sure your rules are clearly posted 3) Groups can be set to private and decrease a lot of spam that a public group/page can bring. 4) You are the only one that can post to your public page. My private group grew to allow all members to post their own auctions and this keeps the group going even when I am not posting. There aren't any wrong ways to do it just a lot of things to think about with your intended audience. ~Samantha
