Here before I get cancelled by these guys. It was a good run. Thank you Art, Kevin, Dave & Cary for having me on the podcast. Fun to chat & not be the super serious eBay guy all the time. Thanks guys. Honor & pleasure!
I had a bit of a falling out with a friend who has a successful facebook school on a different topic. He just didn't want to believe that you already had that market wrapped up at such a high level.
thanks for your discussion of listing new. I have the opinion that if I am buying it at the Thrift and it has the tags, it is a Used item that has the store tags. Cheers!
I respect Tech and his work ethic, but never thought I would say this, he had some of the funniest lines, "Dave, no one ever asked you if you do construction" or "You guys cut stuff out that goes too far?" He said that so incredulously.......
Ebay needs a new category "Pre-owned with Tags". Description should say "Item is pre-owned and in like new condition with tags. This item does not convey any manufacturers warranties or guarantees." Problem solved.
I've mentioned before that I love Trash to Cash for the chaos and entertainment, and if I want reselling information, I'll go watch Technsports. Today, I got chocolate in my peanut butter. Great show guys.
I had a moment of confusion when Tech jumped in. This is the podcast I play in the background when I just need noise. Being in Tech's group I have learned to listen when he speaks. Thankfully it stayed just fun background and my brain didn't explode. Great to have all 5 of you chatting in the background as I list.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Had it on in the background while I was prepping for a 20-hour road trip with the family that I am dreading and the interaction between all of you really lifted my spirits. Really great to see so many of the sellers I've learned from in One place. Keep up in the great work guys!
I'm originally from Massachusetts, let me just say Lynn has a reputation as a town. There's a poem about Lynn... Lynn, Lynn the city of sin You never come out, the way you came in You ask for water, but they give you gin The girls say no, yet they always give in If your not bad, they won’t let you in It’s the damndest city I’ve ever lived in Lynn, Lynn the city of sin You never come out, the way you came in.
You guys are fun to watch. I just got recommended this podcast, after only having watched the nurse flipper’s podcasts for resellers. I really like that podcast, but you guys have a lot more just fun, bs’ing while chatting. Which is really nice for background noise while I try to process my death pile, all alone. I live by myself with 3 dogs and 2 cats and it gets quite lonely, so having you guys in the background is really helpful. Thanks!
imma be honest I like this with just Dave, Cary, and Kevin. I don't miss an episode of this pod cast because of the dynamics between the three of you. Please don't change that.
You’re in my area! I’m a brand new reseller and have been trying to work all by myself, so it was really nice hearing them mention “soda city flips”, since I’m in Lexington. I work a lot better when I have someone else working with me. If you or anyone you know has a group for resellers to connect, I would love to join! Thanks!
Absolutely the best one!! Art is great and so is Technsports. Such a great variety of personalities. Enjoyed seeing that side of Technsports! Always a blast guys!!
I will be OK on VeROs as soon as the brands go after the thrift stores like Savers and Goodwill that are selling millions of dollars of their product. They don't. Meanwhile, they go after the one person selling a couple of hundred of dollars of their product.
When we were in Orlando I went picking with Shane (Soda City Flips) and it was so much fun. We pick different things and I feel like it helps to learn new things to look for and compare what we found. So I personally love going to pick with other sellers
1:20:51 1000% this goes for anything NOT just clothing so if i have anything new its listed as used like new as tech said and its been this way on eBay and amazon for the last 2 decades if not longer, they will take down listings for NEW items quicker then they will go after Used items
This is the flippin Funniest Podcast video by far! You guys had me laughing more than usual listening/watching you "scuttle". Not getting Any work done, today!
Nice video, I do believe that the reason calculated shipping rates are high, is because of incorrect dimensions and or weight. Thats the only logical reason. I've always passed along the discounted shipping rate so I can be more competitive and generate more sales. I've always used calculated shipping and if you use it correctly I always end up about making an extra $1-$2 per shipment. That is by design.
Never had a problem with calculated shipping as long as weight and dimensions are accurate. Also you have to use the best shipping service for the dimensions.
35:14 Ebay Purchased Goldin and PSA purchased THE Ebay VAULT (the PSA vault was the first and ebay was encroaching on there territory so to say) but the FISHY thing is Collector Universe OWNS PSA and GOLDIN! so what think happen was Collector Universe told ebay You want Goldin we want the VAULT! ebay did not hold the cards Collectors Universe did
No fart jokes, no poop talk, no diarrhea worries, what a relief (no pun intended) finally a real resellers podcast! Great topics Great guests (even Art) Great show
I turn slow sell through items within and month or two constantly by having the lowest price. The majority of sellers never adjust their prices, so the undercutting rarely happens.
There's plenty out here in Texas, tons of estate sales almost every weekend in the Metroplex. You would find some great stuff when you're traveling through! -Iris-Pickin In A Jeep
I’m hoping one of you guys reads this because I think about this every time when you guys goes to a garage sale somebody shows you comps from eBay on an item you’re looking at and I wanna know if you can address this on your next podcast you ever wanna scroll someone on the fact that they’re looking at the price of people are asking for those items and tell them that they should look at the soulsor you just let it go because that’s just what it is
Any monopoly or primary market share place won't change until they are poked and their bottom line goes down. I worked for ATT in the late 90s and saw it first hand. Agreed - Kevin is the one to fight for seller rights. He's go the following that people would put some money behind.
Did you put that aircon in yourself..or you don’t do construction…that was so quick from technsports after the previous story from Art…it made me laugh out loud 🤣🤣🤣 great show today loved all the interaction
Listing on vinted as im listening. Vinted was/is really big for pre owned clothes. Then all of a sudden ebay here now does no fees for pre owned clothes . They are on the ball
I remember when DAVE wasnt so condensending. Now dishes it out BUT has all the excuses when they call him out about WHAT ever anyone says to correct him when he says something neg about them.
