love my Kobalt 80-volt brushless 18" chainsaw with a 5-ah battery. - Still being sold on Lowes website as of 5/26/2024 - I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. Using it on a Southeast LA farm of 18 acres of tall large pine trees that was devastated by a Hurricane with a tornado. most of 10 acres nearly all down. The chainsaw has. been working great even cutting huge logs and trees up to 20"+ logs and it works like a great. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021 and just this year bought the second one.
I'm here because I have one I'm trying to find out how to get it replaced for my friend. He used it for five whopping cuts and it died. Lowes doesn't sell it anymore and they won't let him return it even though he has the receipt.
*Ok we know you know how to run a loud generator to disturb the peace. instead of solar (I'm giving you this one for free because I dont want to listen to that archaic brawny redneck crap "making power") lets see now a 210watt 12v (20v) mono crystalline solar panel will charge up 3 car batteries though 1 is needed 3 for the amperage (need not be deep cycle though ideal) and run that say thru a pure sine inverter like maybe Tiger Claw (I use Samlex but those are out of your price range) and you will be able to cut 48 of those neat pines you didnt plant for that 4 hrs of partly shaded early spring sun.) We also know you can drive on a unplowed road... I could go on an on but some people work smart while others work stupid, and some; myself included dont work at all. And proud of it!*
