true story my brother was talking about the unforgivable sin this week. I literally thought, how often does this come up. Yet, here we are! Obviously, I am going to recommend this podcast to him!

This was on point. Thank you. I’m not sure why other people don’t think the only unforgivable sin is when you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. I also think subjects pastors don’t want to touch on should be discussed. Sodomy, abortion, homosexuality, judgment, repentance, lukewarm Christians, and conviction. There are a lot of pastors that sound like motivational speakers. Breakthrough and blessings cannot be the only thing God is putting on their heart.

I just can't wrap my mind around JP's explanation of how how the unforgivable sin can't be committed today. Does anyone have a different way of putting it to help me understand?

Jesus died for our sins after he mentioned the unforgivable sin. Now we are under the new covenant, which means If we repent for all our sins will be forgiven. Not only that, but you would have to physically see Jesus perform a miracle and then give credit to the devil for it to be considered blasphemy of Holy Spirit. Remember, Jesus did that through the power of the Holy Spirit. So, it can’t be don’t today. The guy in the video got it down! We all are sinners and have a chance with God as long as we are saved. God bless.

As it says in Mark, crediting the works of Jesus to Satan is blasphemy and cited as the unforgivable sin. Now that Jesus has died and risen for our sins, we cannot commit this sin anymore, this is because we cannot accredit to Jesus, that what he did was through the power of Satan instead of God. the best way to think of it. If you’re still confused, is almost like the title of unforgivable sin was traded with not believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Instead of the unforgivable sin, being blasphemy, now shifted to the unforgivable sin, which is a sin that you have elected yourself to pay for, on your own, is the denial and rejection of Jesus Christ, death, and resurrection, and the forgiving of your sins. And because God Doesn’t pay for 99% of your sins, that one will allow the person to pay for all their sins.

It totally makes sense that the only time people could commit the unforgivable sin was while Jesus was on Earth. Because when He died on the cross, He also paid for that sin like every other sin; He paid it ALL. So going back to what was discussed about God doesn’t just take back a gift after giving it; nothing is irredeemable if He paid for everything when he conquered death (the wage for our sin).

Now I got a question for you. I suffer from religious OCD. I've had it since Lord knows when. I have bad thoughts against the Holy Spirit and other things like if I'm a phony whenever I'm not on my medication. I asked for Jesus to forgive me many times and accept them as my Lord and Savior. Now, I can't get rid of OCD. It's chronic and long-lasting. I sometimes feel like if I don't have my medication I'm confused. I messed up. Lord knows what else. But I still keep praying. Still keep hoping. OCD is knows my weakness.

I’ve had similar things happen to me. A crucial thing that helped me was filling myself with the truth of how God really sees me which is with love, so I would recommend to memorize scriptures that come against the lies of the enemy when they arise and try to bring this topic up with people I trust who love Jesus to help me talk through this

‬Many overlook how Jesus trained his twelve chosen disciples for three years before they became His apostles. An apostle means someone who is sent, a messenger. Many also overlook the prayer that Jesus made for His disciples in John 17:6-19 where He asked His Father to sanctify His disciples in truth. So the disciples had to be sanctified in truth before Jesus could use them as His apostles, His messengers. Next, realize that God did not instruct us or command us to explain scripture to anyone but yet most are foolishly believing that it is their duty to try and lead others to Jesus. Many believers do not understand that the Great Commission was for God’s chosen disciples who were trained by Jesus and who were sanctified in God’s truth and it was not meant for every believer of Jesus Christ to relate scripture. This fallacy is simply a lie that is being fabricated by the devil’s many false ministers. So if you have never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ then you clearly are someone who is not comprehending what scripture is relating and you should not be relating scripture to anyone. “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” ‭‭James‬ ‭3:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬ Now just look at the internet and you will find millions of believers posting comments, videos and relating dreams about scripture and they have no idea how they are actually spreading lies and many are blaspheming the Spirit of truth in the process. Realize that God did not appoint most of these people to relate their testimonies nor are they even qualified to do so since they have never been trained by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and anointed by God. “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.” Mark 3:28-30 NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:31-32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.” Luke 12:10 NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Notice that all of these scriptures either state blasphemes against the Spirit or speak against the Spirit and what most do not understand is that God’s words are Spirit and they are life. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ So what Jesus is relating to us in scripture is that if you speak against or you disagree with the Spirit which also means His word and truth, then you will never be forgiven for it. You have condemned yourself since you are either denying God’s word and truth or you are choosing to believe and relate a false gospel instead. Here is an example to help you understand. If if I tell you that it is possible for a Christian to reach a place where they can no longer sin and they can no longer get sick and you call me crazy or you even curse me then you can still be forgiven for your ignorance and your sin. You could even be forgiven if you did the same exact thing to Jesus Himself. But now if you come out and you say that what I have related is a lie or that overcoming sin is not possible in this lifetime then this is when you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit. Why? Because I have related a truthful blessing that Jesus provided through His sacrifice on the cross and you are stating that you will not believe it to be so or you are denying that it is even possible. This is when you will never be forgiven for your sin since you are now blaspheming the Spirit of truth by choosing to believe in a false gospel of the devil instead. “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Jesus performed many miracles from God but yet many believed that the miracles were being done by the devil. They were stating that the Spirit of God was impure and of the devil and they would not believe that the miracles were a blessing from God. So not only were they committing blasphemy against the Spirit because they believed that Jesus was possessed by a demon spirit but it was mainly because they were denying God’s word and truth and they choose to believe in the lies of the devil instead. Many overlook how Jesus got angry and how He openly rebuked and criticized those who claimed to know both God and scripture. When Jesus exposed their sin and their ignorance of truth Jesus used words such as fools, foolish ones, evil, wicked, heathens, hypocrites, brood of vipers, son of hell and your father is the devil. The believers back then did not like to hear how sinful and ignorant they were and this is why they hated Jesus and why they desired to see Him put to death. Many believers are exactly like them today and they are eagerly posting their misguided interpretations and comments about scripture all over the internet. Many are foolishly relating a false gospel because they have never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and these foolish people fail to realize that if someone believes the lies that they are relating then they are leading that person into sin. They clearly do not understand the consequences for leading someone into sin! “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬ So let’s say that you are someone who is spreading a false interpretation of scripture here on the internet and a certain person chooses to believe your lie and then a week later they die. Then say they end up being condemned because they chose to believe in the false gospel that you chose to relate. Now do honestly think that it would be fair for you to be forgiven and enter the kingdom of God after you have lead someone to hell by misrepresenting God’s word and truth? Of course it would not be fair and this is why blaspheming the Spirit of truth is an unforgivable sin in the eyes of God. This is why scripture relates how our words will either justify or condemn our souls. “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:36-37‬ ‭NKJV
