Regarding the hidden costs of goals, one limitation of this theory is that it does not take into account the motive behind the goal: a desire to excel is different from competing for the sake of impressing someone else or to gain favors.

The video is widely explanatory. However, where does the MBO emerge in this theory? (intended as Management by objectives) I assume this is related to the criteria you mentioned in the video, but according to my academic book, it is refered to the MBO and instead having goal commitment as the third pillar, I have explicit time period. Could you please help me understanding? would be fantastic! thank you in advance!

This was great, I been tryin to find out about "development goals" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ?
