PREPARE TO BE GOBSMACKED! This week Frustrations peak, and the real cause of weeks if not months of missioning over doors that will not close, is revealed. This highlights just how incompetent the guys at ECSD were when they attempted our build. However all is not doom and gloom as this new evidence of lack of skills, leads to us solving our door issues. We were on the brink of meltdown, but now things are looking peachy! YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THE DRAMA IN THIS WEEKS EPISODE.

You know I have been following you for the past three years when we started this build...believe you me, you have used yourself and Mariki as scapegoats for many many people who have a dream to venture into such. I cannot thank you enough for the valuable information and lessons that you have rendered to us...the trials and tribulations that you had to go through. Your patience has taught me a lot and now I'm more educated on what I intend to do, and I believe I will ace my project when I start it in a few years' time. The phrase "so near yet so far" and "ALMOST THERE" made sense during these past 36 months... Your first trip to Botswana, when you pass by Gaborone, you must give me a shout so that I can come and physically touch the Real Meraai... We now have to change the title of the insert from "A Dream Called Meraai" to "Miracle Marvelous Meraai aka Mariki Meraai...

Im afraid Tread Check does not seem to be far behind ECSD. Almost there.

Treadcheck really saved this build. If we had not gone to them to do our wheel alignment, there is a very good chance that we would have had a catastrophic vehicle failure. Tyrone Leppan admits that the task became massive as more faults were uncovered. I will be using Treadcheck as my go to service centre.

Weeks of Time and money waisted because of some "clever" people. But I am glad the doors are finally sorted. The door saga I think is worse than the rim saga. However what are you going to do with the load rating on the current tires that you have that is not correct? I absolutely love this entire build with it's up's and downs. it was a mammoth project that you took on. I bet there are many people including me that have learned allot out of your experiences that you have shared the past couple of years with us. Keep doing so even after the build is complete.

Thanks for the support Barend it really is appreciated. Re my tyres. I am going to do some testing with temp and tyre pressure on the coopers that I have. They are damn good tyres and have the highest load rating in the cooper 16 range. Because they have such a high speed rating ( 170km/hr) and our max is 80km/hr, we think that we will be ok. If we see they start running too hot then we know we have a problem and I will have to shop around. My only real option would be to go to 17" rims and fit standard heavy duty truck tyres. But I am hoping it does not come to this.
