Hi Lucy Ann! It was so good to catch up with you this morning!! Your shrug and sock are so so good! Can’t wait to give you a squeeze at Fiddlehead!! Miss ya girl! ❤
Hello! Lovely to hear your stories about your projects and life. I also use pieces of my grandmother’s china. We have broken some, but I feel that the memories and connections outweigh the preciousness. Also, what a fun surprise to see the orange bag pop up on the screen. You are so kind to show it on here and thank you for such a thorough review. I am happy to hear that you are using it. Looking forward to seeing you at the Fiddlehead Fibre Festival.
I had such a lovely visit with you as you distracted me while I'm knitting endless heels 😂 I loved the China chat as well as the knitting. My English Granny came into Halifax after WW2 as a war bride. Can't wait to hang out again at Fiddlehead 😎
Nice to see you again. Lovely knits and yarns! I really enjoyed your story of your family's china. Thank you for sharing that. Have a good visit in NB. Take Care.
Thank you so much for spending time with me. I think that sharing stories is important and for me as the older members of my family pass the unrecorded history needs a home. See you again soon!
I have mugs that my Great Grandparents brought from Prussia before the First World War. I didn't know them but I like the idea that they were important to my ancestors.
Morning lucy ann!!!! Great to catch up with ur news!!! You are busy!!! I smusing the sane yarn exactly for my njord socks!!!!🎉🎉 Have fun in the east and in ur cruise!!!! Elaine🧦🏠💗
I started my China collection in the 1970's. I started using mine everyday about 10yrs ago and it goes in the dishwasher . I'm enjoying them so much. A bit of silver is coming off but it will be trashed when we're gone. No kids to guilt into keeping them 😂. Now we're going to have to use the silver plated cutlery 😮 onve it's cleaned.
I know my kids will not want it- not even guilt would make a difference. 😂. We do use our silver a fair amount-the more you use it the less you have to polish it. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for another good episode. You DO make me feel as if i am knitting with a friend! Your natural unscripted podcast is much appreciated. Your blue and white china may be older than you think. I was recently surprised to find a pattern i thought to be 1890-1910 was actually 1834! Kovel's used to be a good resource for researching patterns. Maybe still is?? Have a safe and productive trip. Will look forward to hearing all about it! I remember last year you did an episode from New Brunswick...it may have been the first or second one i watched. Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for taking the time to comment. I should do a little research to see how old it actually is. My NB trip has been a good one and it is almost over but… I am back in a month. It maybe time to do another episode from here. “See” you again soon!
